Pay the man!!

Dwayne Harris stands out as blocker

On nine running plays by DeMarco Murray or Joseph Randle, Harris served as an edge blocker and the Cowboys gained 68 yards.

On a 5-yard run by Murray in the first quarter, he pinned outside linebacker Junior Galetteinside. On a 22-yard run by Murray, he shielded himself between the ball carrier and safetyKenny Vaccaro. On a 3-yard run he pinned Vaccaro and also helped get defensive end Cameron Jordan caught in the wash. On Murray’s 28-yard touchdown he took care of the backside cornerback.

Awesome quote

“I love blocking for those guys,” Harris said. “They block for Tony [Romo] when it’s a pass play, so it evens everything out. We all do our job, do our part so somebody can eat.”

An actual Dallas Cowboy said this?

Times are a changin' boys and girls...............

Man. Am I ever so glad we were able to talk Jerry out of Manziel and into Martin? If this staff can stick together for another 4 to 5 years....

Yahtzee!

Some people just play the sport like it was meant to be played. The guy isn't just a quality, dangerous returner, he somehow is an outstanding coverage guy, managing to be the one making the play. Oh, and he can play competent wideout and make big plays.

Every team should have one. We got ours.

Harris is the new Steve Tasker.

I like him better as a slot WR. Dude was clutch im 2012 when he was called upon but he is vital so many other places your better leaving him as your 4th

I'd love to see him get more touches in the passing game. You need to involve a player with that attitude as much as possible.
Plus he's built with nerves of steel.

Reminds me of Bill Bates, not a great position player, but whatever you ask him to do, he leaves his heart out there on the field.

That quote is so true for these guys. What a change in the team attitude this year. Linehan or Marinelli, or both?

I saw him doing that. Harris is a ST demon for sure. He's definitely not hesitant about sticking his head in there.
Seems to me he's likely to become more involved in the offense as well with Linehan calling the plays. Yessir, It's about time -- he's been a catalyst for years with little appreciation too apparent by the staff. Now they know.

I think the attitude is something that garret has been creating since he took over. It takes time to shape up though. You need to get rid of guys that don't buy in and find guys to replace them that do.

And even though players agree with concepts it generally takes some time and some successful developments to occur before people live and breathe it.

Dwayne Harris might be my favorite role player ever for the Cowboys. He has such a great attitude and a tenacity you need in a ST guy/offensive role player.

I would think you have to credit JG with it also. What ever the coaches roles are this season it's working. I credit the whole staff really.
