The eagles knocked out romo and stole Murray, so glad to see them flop like this.

I was hoping he'd stay. He is no Ron Wolfe as a GM. His ego says he can make his system work with any roster. Doesnt work that way in the NFL.

He thinks his system is brilliant and will work no matter the players. He doesn't realize that his success at Oregon - and the success his offenses had - came from the fact that Oregon would literally have all 6 of their "skill position" players be the fastest guys on the field. Maybe a good defense would have 1 or 2 guys who could compete with that level of speed.

But here in the pros, EVERYONE on the defensive side of the ball are just as fast as your guys. Any system will work when there is such a huge talent disparity, like at Oregon, but not in the pros.

He also got to work with a huge roster. You can only dress 46 games in the pros. In college, it's much more. And like you said, you can't win in the NFL based on speed alone. Every team has speed at every position. And there are no free wins like there are in college.

The biggest issue I have is how he uses his runningbacks. His best pass catching RB is Sproles, yet he plays barner when its obvious passing downs. Barner dropped 3 passes that would have been critical first downs for them. I hope he stays. He has a great D-line, but wears them out with his own offense. It baffles me he is not willing to adjust to the NFL.
