I'm giving him a pass on this year because of the knee and our putrid interior line...if his game doesn't improve in year 3 and 4, then he's a bust. A bit early to put out a verdict at this point though.

You could argue we do as well. We've given up 3 400 yard games.........I don't think our D is as bad as the stats say but they've done nothing to warrant respect of any teams in this league.

Eagles lost to San Diego by 3, they lost to KC by 10 and they lost to Denver by 32. Yet we don't have a chance.

I don't buy that at all. I think we have a great chance of beating Philly. Statistically, this team is not all that good. They are terrible defensively. They are dead last in the NFL. They are 31st against the pass and 19th against the run, which is slightly worse then we are. I attribute this to Denver a great deal because as early in the season as it is, if you play Denver, they are going to skew the numbers defensively but what's telling, IMO, is that they are 29th in the league in scoring defense and that's a good 4 points a game worse then we are.

Offensively, they are 2nd in the league in offense but interestingly enough, we are averaging 3 pts more a game then they are. We are a better scoring offense and trust me, I never thought I would be hearing myself say that. We are second in the entire league right now in scoring.

Sometimes I think we are just so accustom to believing we can't win that we just give up before the game is even played, as a fan base. Lets see what happens and maybe we might see something different for a change.

While I agree this will be a real tough test for Dallas, and yes we really struggle on the road, this is hardly a slam dunk loss. I also have to laugh at the med-idiots and posters who keep harping on how Chip Kelly destroyed Kiffin @ USC as if it has any bearing on this game. That is just an angle to drum up drama and has nothing to do with actual football.

As for the actual game, on offense we gotta do what we have done all year. Don't turn it over. Balanced or not, I don't think it matters. I personally would rather test Phillys weak LB and secondary all game long. Also, keep in mind this will be Randle's first game with extensive work. I believe being pass happy mixed in with some runs is the best way to attack Philly.

On defense, we need to do what we did against Washington. The best part of that Washington game is we did not give up the home run outside of that Morris TD run If we give up yards, then so be it. But, force Foles (or Vick) to drive up the field and see if they don't make mistakes. While a high powered offense, Philly does turn it over. We gonna need another huge game from out CBs to keep up with Philly's WRs and LB to contain McCoy. The DL is just gonna have to battle again. Against Washington they got pressure but more importantly when they missed on RG3 they didn't get discouraged. They kept coming.

Bottom line, Foles (or Vick) will make plays with their arm or feet. They will rack up yardage but that is OK. We gotta be patient on D and just keep coming like we did against Washington. When we force 3rd downs we got to get off the field; when Philly gets in the redzone, force FGs. If we can do that and then couple that with not turning it over on Offense while taking advantages of the big mismatches we have on offense we should be in good shape. Throw in our great S/T (remember all the angst we had in training camp) and we really can seize control of this division.

Just curious. Have you seen any Philly games this year? And I'm not talking about just the highlights.
