INDIANAPOLIS -- Eagles rookie defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley hasn’t made many plays this season.
Now he can’t make the team flights.
Bunkley jetted here on his own dime Saturday when the Eagles left without him, a club spokesman confirmed. Though Bunkley arrived here before the team meetings began, he likely will be fined. It’s also possible he could be scratched today when the Eagles oppose the Indianapolis Colts.
It’s been a trying season for Bunkley, who got off on the wrong foot by missing a chunk of training camp in a contract holdout.
The Florida State product started fast, registering three solo stop in the season-opening victory over the Houston Texans. But he has just one stop in the last six games after notching eight in the first four.
Bunkley’s playing time was cut almost to nothing last week and even before the tardiness Saturday, there was no indication it would increase today.
