#Vikings are expected to be without star RB Adrian Peterson (foot) today, as well as without backup Toby Gerhart (hamstring), per source

Not shocking.

Get to play the Packers with their practice squad QB.

Get a Lions team that lives and dies with their passing game in a blizzard.

Now no AP this week.

I expect Marshall and/or Jeffery will be out next week.

Cowboys just need to go and win out and no one will remember the Eagles good luck.

Who cares? If we take care of business none of this will matter.

Unfortunately we won't.

I hate excuses.

Who's making excuses for anyone?

Do you disagree with the assertion that the Eagles have caught some breaks over the last month that have contributed to their recent success?

I don't see anyone making excuses in this thread, it just seems to me like the OP made a rather accurate observation.

It's the eagles division. Don't know why folks are still holding out hope. Haven't we all seen this movie before?

"It's the eagles division"? God I hope our players don't have such a loser mentality.

You don't know why "folks are still holding out hope"?? Maybe it's because that's what FANS of a team do....they HOPE for the best. Doesn't necessarily mean they expect it. Why is this difficult to understand?

Anyway, since you already know how this is all going to play out I hope you don't waste your time watching these last 3 games.....now me, I'll be watching and enjoying.

The thread title is "Eagles catch another break" - sounds like an excuse to me.

The only thing I can say is the New York Football Giants had a similar run of fortunate opponent injuries or circumstances and we revealed them for the phonies they were. These next two games against backup quarterbacks ourselves are extremely important and if we are able to pull them both off we have the opportunity to do the same to Philly as we did with NY, likely on SNF on the national stage for the division in Big D instead of on the road as in previous years.

An excuse for what exactly?

It looks to me like an accurate observation. They've caught some breaks. It is what it is.

Well, its true. Why are you in denial?

Nothing is true until it happens. The only "truth" in either of y'alls statements is that if the Cowboys win out they will win the division.

I would not put money on this team winning the division though, not at all.

so, the eagles are catching breaks, but we have 4 games in a row against the back-up QB...are we catching breaks?

Cowboys are catching a break as well, no Aaron Rodgers today.

That said, in the NFL you never know, the Vikes 3rd string RB could surprise and go off for well over a hundred today.
