They play a 3-4 front with a zone scheme under Fangio:

DE-Ojomo, Carter
NT-Davis

1 star in Carter, kind of like we have with Williams

Edge-Phillips, Nolan Smith

2 former 1st rd picks that have had just ok careers thus far, we have a need for another high-end edge

Linebackers-Baun, Dean

Baun is one of their top stars on defense. We don't have a player like Baun on this roster.

Corners-Mitchell, Jackson
Nickel-DeJean

Mitchell is their top corner, but DeJean might be the better player. We really need Revel to become that top corner

S-Blankenship, Mukuba

The front 7 is the key, feel we are two players away at Edge and Linebacker, then fill out the secondary.

Their hybrid 3-4 isn't really a 3-4. They play 4 man front almost as often as 3.

Philly's D works because they have good DTs, and elite players in the secondary and at LB, and a rookie LB playing at a high level. Plus a coach who knows how to utilize what he has, vs a guy who main qualification was Jerry & Stephen like to pal around with him.

No scheme will work while we're relying on defensive ends off the street, have 1 decent LB (who can't stay on the field), overpaid underperforming CBs, and the worst safeties in the league.

Our D needs an almost complete overhaul of personnel.

How you forget to mention the 6th highest graded lb in the entire league? I know you hated him pre-draft but cmon

You need a few more pieces, with Edge/Linebacker being the most important. A good front, will make is easier on our secondary.

Yes, totally forgot about Campbell. You are right, wasn't a fan of his pre-snap, but loved the UCLA LB. He is another solid starter for their defense.

It made me sick to see how a defense can actually win a game on Monday Night. Never happens here.
Exactly. The way this team is built the offense needs to be perfect every single week. When it isn't, people just blame Dak.

Trust me, if the Cowboys scored 10 points in a game 100 times they are losing 100 times. Fans here would blame the QB for not scoring enough points. I wonder if Jalen Hurts is hearing that this week?
