And a hell if a kick returner. Imagine having the best offense, the best special teams….and the worst defense of all time lol.Pretty deadly combo when you have the #1 offense and a grim reaper of a kicker!
He’s talking about all kickers. His team’s kicker struggled last year, was missing almost every from FG 50+ yards, now he’s making them seemingly effortlessly. The irony of a coach of the Eagles claiming advantage lol.
This is the first I’ve heard of “kicking balls” advantage.
Sthoppit.Sounds like Aubrey may be cheating.
Doesn't surprise me with this team.
He is talking about all kickers but I dont think hes ignorant to the fact no one has a bigger advantage than us. I'm also sure hes not opposed to making it seem like nonsense in hopes of changing the rule back. He’s talking about all kickers. Pat Mcafee talked about it on his show before the season started and suggested it’s a massive change that would advantage kickers/punters. Basically they can prep the kicking balls all week instead of using new ones on game day.The irony of a coach of the Eagles claiming advantage lol.

Serious question, but what type of prepping would be done to a kicking ball that would give it an advantage over a new ball?Pat Mcafee talked about it on his show before the season started and suggested it’s a massive change that would advantage kickers/punters. Honestly I have no idea. Not sure if they come a little harder out of the box? Maybe there is some sort of conditioner they apply to the leather to soften it? Completely guessing on that but I remember from the Romo fumbled fg snap several mentions of the k balls being hard and slick compared to others.Serious question, but what type of prepping would be done to a kicking ball that would give it an advantage over a new ball?
Kickers like to break the seams in by squeezing them to make them easier to kick. And they also wipe them down because brand new footballs tend to be slick (ask Tony Romo in the 2006 playoffs).Serious question, but what type of prepping would be done to a kicking ball that would give it an advantage over a new ball?
44-3 next meeting?Against the eagles would be nice.
The guys point was changing how defenses must plan with kickers attempting and hitting longer field goals in conjunction with the new kick off rules. Teams can quickly get into field goal range and that’s a challenge for DCs in the contemporary NFL.He is talking about all kickers but I dont think hes ignorant to the fact no one has a bigger advantage than us. Its crazy to me that the simple difference of a more broken in ball is such a kicking advantage.
consider the sourceSthoppit.
There are always going to be haters and someone who tries to minimize the strengths of their opposition.
