I'm here to discuss Sunday, my team and your team.

If I am doing something against the rules, I'll adjust my posts to regulations, as I did with a pic recommended by another member.

If I'm ribbin' on you guys, it's all in part of the game, and exactly what I do in my own stadium.

Hey.... listen, after an intense game against the Packers a couple weeks ago at Raymond James Stadium, I wished Packer fans well on Aaron Rodgers injury, and told 'em they had a good squad even though they lost.... and after 3 hours of trash back and forth.

Regardless of the outcome Sunday, expect a thread in this forum from me on Monday afternoon.

Most of us take it pretty good but you just seem to be rather annoying.

Hey... I'm a Buc fan. I've been ribbed mercilessly just for wearing the colors I do.

I don't have a problem with the Bucs. Was kinda glad to see them pull themselves out of the toilet.

Thought the new uni's were cool. Always thought Gruden was a good coach.
Stadium is cool w/the pirate ship and all. Alstott was a beast.

But make no bones about it. Win, Lose or Draw the Dallas Cowboys are THE marquee team in the NFL year in and year out. From Merchandise sales to TV ratings to overall franchise worth the Cowboys top them all. Your precious Bucs included. So enjoy your short time here on the Zone and good luck on Sunday.

Thanks hendog.

With the wins, come prestige.

And we're working on it.

I do have a problem with the "Johnny-come-lately" Bucs! My Nephew is a dedicated Bucs fan; he and I put a little something down on the Bucs versus Eagles game whenever we have the opportunity. BTW, that opportunity won't happen again until 2009.

That said, I've been tuning-in on a few Buc games this year. while I'll admit, the Bucs have improved ...it is still my opinion that they are potentially scrubs! In the games that I've watched, I've observed mistakes by the opponent teams that have allowed the Bucs to take control of their games. Again, while that's exactly what teams should do when presented opportunities to get control via turnovers, penalties, and capitalize on the opponet team mistakes ...but I am not impressed by either side of the ball when it comes to playing basic football. I know of at least "two" games where the Bucs should have lost, but went on to win the game. And I guess that's what counts.

I'm uncertain if the Bucs will have an opportunity to play any of the NFC-East teams this season, but if they do, the Bucs will most definitely be exposed. Beat a Beast from the NFC-East before you start talking about prestige!
But you just watch what I'm saying...the Bucs are not going anywhere in 2008.

Final Caveat: I don't like your Avatar Handle either!

Was.

But like the bulk of your fanbase, you are living in the past. Say hello to 1993 for me.

Since the Glazers have taken over the team in 1996 from the atrocious Hugh Culverhouse era, the franchise has been pretty damn good. Maybe you'd like to compare?

Since 1996 (12 seasons)

Buccaneers

8 seasons at .500 or better
7 playoff appearances
5-6 postseason record
4 Division Titles
2 NFC Championship Games
1 Super Bowl win

2 Head Coaches (Dungy/Gruden)

Cowboys

7 seasons at .500 or better
6 playoff appearances
1-6 postseason record
3 Division Titles
0 NFC Championship Games
0 Super Bowl wins

5 Head Coaches (Switzer/Gailey/Campo/Parcells/Phillips)

The Bucs are a far more stable organization right now than the Cowboys, and have been far more successful in the playoffs. The Cowboys have a richer tradition and history than the Bucs, but there has been a steady deterioration of the Cowboys franchise since that last Super Bowl.

If not for Parcells, the Cowboys would be cellar dwellars. And if this current track continues, spending on Hollywood free agents instead of football players, the days of Dave Campo will return. And quickly.

You are obsessed with the Dallas Cowboys like most so-called fans of other teams. Hell, you know more about the Boyz than you do about the Bucs.

5-3? Whoop-de-doo!!! Go ahead and thump your chest while you can. I wouldn't be surprised if Tampa ended up 8-8 this year. And the truth is, neither would you.

We've been pretty evenly matched against the NFC East lately. We haven't been able to dominate the whole division, and vice-versa. But if you're saying we aren't competitive against the NFC East, I'd say that is pretty inaccurate.

I am not entirely sure how the rest of the NFC South have fared against the NFC East, but I don't believe it has been a runaway for anybody. It just ends up being good football.

Gotten lucky with turnovers? Please. We force mistakes. The bulk of our interceptions thus far have been on tip balls by our guys making plays on the ball. We usually get in the QB's face and force bad throws. Like the Eagles D, that's what makes us tick.

In hope, for your sake, Donovan doesn't have to try and play in Tampa again. We don't want him puking again.

5-3? Glad to see you're assuming a victory.

Our schedule eases up a bit after this week. We have dates with the likes of the Chiefs, Lions, Raiders. Some tough division games in there too, but nothing that spells collapse. If anything, the Cowboys have a better shot at going 8-8 than the Bucs.

And no, not obsessed with the Cowboys. I try to know my opponent, see how my Bucs stack up for the week. Nothing wrong with that, IMO.

If the Cowboys win, both teams will be 5-3 and the Cowboys would own the tiebreaker. Hmmmm. Maybe you shouldn't be talking so tough after all.:laugh2:

Actually I was referring to the 2008/2009 ReguLar seasons DE; not looking back. You play the Dallas Cowboys next ...let's see how you deal with their Defense. I really don't believe you will force any turnover or win that game.
Personally, I could care less if you win or lose ...but I do care about the NFC-East Teams.

I think the Cowboys will punish the Bucs!

Maybe you're talking about the Commanders beating the Saints? But I'm not sure. Thay are far from a complete team.

We will force mistakes and keep them in check. With the exception of Denver, we've forced turnovers on defense in every game, and scored in 4 of our 7 games. We attack the ball, and it's every playr at every position who does this.

We will see, and like I said earlier in the week, this is an important game, and it'll have playoff implications.

We've played tough games already, and been tested. I feel the team is ready for this challenge.
