Eagles exploring trading A.J. Brown

He has a pretty good case for wanting out, I rarely side with players throwing tantrums to get paid etc. But having a QB that can barely throw for 150 yards and leaning completely on the running game and defense has to be soul destroying for him.

Sounds about right crazy because some on here think bass is worth a 2nd lol
I don't know if Bass is worth a 2nd round pick or not. But maybe it is part of the strategy. They wan to keep him, but not overpay. So maybe they feel no team will give up that 2nd round pick.

However, if some team were to do that, I would take the 2nd round pick not quite as fast as Micah was sent to GB.

So if nobody would trade for him, are we stuck at that tendered price for the year?? I'm assuming if we gave him a deal it would lower his number

I believe he signs the tender and plays under that, unless they negotiate a new deal.
If he does not sign it, then he sits. Unless trade is worked out.

They have to eat a lot of dead money, even post June 1st, so they need more incentive than that, I think.
IMO he goes to NE for pick 63.
If they trade him after June 1, they save 7MM on the cap. But prior to that they get hit hard.

I think they are willing to overpay (5.8m) to take the chance that someone will give a 2nd for him. You don't think he could be signed for less?

I think he could be signed for less. He has shown potential. but with only 10 starts, Would some team pay that and give up a 2nd round pick.
Possibly, as we never know. He could be better value than over paying some high priced FA's, that are also unknown if can be a full time starter.

Actually I hope some team will give that 2nd round pick. They can draft an OL and have him for 3 or 4 years as opposed to pay him, then go through it again next year.

Maybe I am overthinking it.
