Good find. This really stood out, because it's not attributable to facing fewer drives than most defenses (as a lot of our defensive stats are):

2. It's a strong tackling team. The Cowboys allow a mere average of 4.3 yards after the catch per reception, the third-best number in the league. That’s helped by the fact that it is a "rally to the ball" type of team.

Compared to years past from the eagles fansites this hoping for a miracle and injury. We are putting a great offense on the field each week and it is stressing our opponents with our lack of turnovers and mistakes, especially from our rookies.

1. This is the most disciplined defense in terms of penalties in the entire NFL. Dallas has been penalized just 34 times in its first six games.

I wish I had a dollar for every time some hack writer looked at NFL.com's defensive stats and thought the "penalties" were the penalties called on that team's defense. They're not. For whatever stupid reason, NFL.com puts the opponent's penalties with the defensive stats. So our opponents have had 34 penalties called against them -- the fewest in the league out of everyone's opponents (but not the fewest per game.) It doesn't have anything to do with penalties called on our defense.

I have no doubt it will be a game it is afterall an NFC east matchup and things seldom go according to hoyle. I do like our chances if we are hitting on all cylinders on offense.

The Cowboys have averaged 6.0 penalties per game so far, which is 7th-fewest. Defensively, the Cowboys rank 18th in penalties per play (We've had 9 penalties in the last 2 games -- after having only 5 penalties in the first 4 games). Offense ranks 8th, and the team as a whole is 7th.

Dallas is one of only 5 teams without a defensive offside, and is the only team in the NFL without either an unsportsmanlike conduct or unnecessary roughness penalty this year.

Interestingly, Dallas has been the beneficiary of the fewest penalties for the least yardage of any team. And it has nothing to do with only playing 6 games. The Cowboys' opponents' 5.67 penalties per game ranks as the 2nd-fewest, and Dallas opponents' penalty yardage (40.0 yd/game) is the least of any team's opponents. In contrast, the Packers' opponents' penalty yardage is more than twice that much (86.8 yd/game).

The most common penalty in the NFL by far is offensive holding. When the Dallas defense is on the field, the opposing offense has been penalized for holding 0.83 times per game, which is 4th-fewest in the league. But when the NY Football Giants' defense is on the field, the opposing offense has been penalized for holding 2.86 times per game, which is the most in the league.

And the Giants' defense ranks 31st in sack%. Only one team is worse at getting to the QB, but no team has been the beneficiary of more holding calls.

Lol so what you're telling me is we are STILL getting screwed by the refs.
