I think its a good move for the Eagles.

High 2nd rounder and a potential good player. Pretty hard to beat that.

McNabb will hold no value in a couple of years. Sell him while you can and move forward.

Agreed... that high second rounder has the potential to turn into a very good player, especially in this draft...

That said, I hope the rumor is false.

Not because I have a mancrush on Atogwe, like some people here, but because I don't want the eagles to get such a good deal for McNabb.

Rams should go after Kolb with their 2nd pick.

Sounds like the Egals are ready to deal.

Why would the Eagles draft him in the 2nd round, invest time, resources, and money into him, then trade him for a 2nd round pick?

0% chance Kolb gets dealt.

Sounds like they would definitely deal Mcnabb for something like a 2nd

St Louis trading for McNabb doesn't make alot of sense in my opinion. The Rams are a terrible team and McNabb although still very affective is an aging QB who's had a number of injuries. He would get all beat up in St Louis and I doubt he would be very excited going to a team he has no chance in hell of ever winning a championship with. I could see a team with some talent that's lacking a QB making a play for McNabb but it makes very little sense for a bad team that has holes everywhere giving up a high #2 and a good player for an aging 33 year old QB who could hit the wall at any moment. It's going to take a few seasons for the Rams to be competitive they need to build with a young QB. As for the Eagles the compensation for McNabb would be very tempting but they're a contender and if they make the trade and Kolb or Vick doesn't workout they could start going south. Vick is what he is a great athlete but is never going to lead a team to a championship with his arm. Kolb looked very good in the 2 starts he had but that's pretty much the extent of his career.

Not just any 2nd round pick but the highest one at #33. It's not like Kolb has been great coming off the bench with 4 TD's, 7 INT's and 2 lost fumbles in 10 games.

You see upside in those numbers?

Whether you do or not maybe the Egals don't.

Or just maybe the Egals simply like Tebow or McCoy or even Pike better and want that #33 regardless...who knows?

Either way, I wouldn't say 0% on them trading Kolb.

According to beat writer Ashley Fox, it's "growing ever unlikely" that the Eagles will have all their quarterbacks after the draft. Fox adds that the Eagles have lowered their asking price for Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb from a first-round pick to a "fair" price, such as a second-rounder or a combination of high picks. We highly doubt Kolb is going anywhere, but this report at least confirms that the Eagles could be willing to move on from McNabb.

Stupid move by the Rams. They aren't one player away from becoming good and trading for McNabb only makes them marginally better for maybe the next two years.

Yes. Why would they do that? :rams: :rams: :rams:
