I ve been callin Wentz to the Rams all along. With this revelation plus Jerry flying out to see Goff after the trade was made with the titans makes it clear that Goff is going to Philly, who ponied up all those picks about 2 days after Jerry made the trip to Cal.

I think this is plausible and IMO likely to happen

Deion interviewed both Goff and Wentz together and pressed hard on the fact they both had the same agent and had to know which is goin #1.......Wentz couldnt keep a straight face.....

I think the NFL pleaded with the Rams and Sheagles both to keep things under wraps to save a tad of suspense for the draft.....Theres a whole mess of NFL "fans" who only watch the first pick or two of the draft, if #1 and #2 are already known, you lose those viewers.....

Eagles are taking Wentz. We just got baited. It was a good one though.

Howard Eskin just said on NFLN the Beagles love Wentz and there is no way they trade Bradford until next year.

Philly is picking a quarterback, and that quarterback will be Wentz. I think the article is being misinterpreted. Apparently the NFL told the Rams, and the Eagles not to disclose who they are picking until the draft. They want TV ratings, and if everyone knows who everyone is picking before the draft nobody will watch.

If Wentz is a Cowboy tomorrow It will be almost as good as winning the Super Bowl.

I tried telling you guys this Wentz thing at #2 was not a done deal. Never underestimate the stupidity of the Philadelphia Eagles. It will most definitely be an intestine first hour tonight.

Claiborne was not all world. Ramsey is a much better athlete and will most likely end up as a safety. Claiborne was nothing more than a 2nd or 3rd round talent.

Uh, no, he was a top 6 pick and most said the best defensive player of that draft from what I remember.

Them taking Zeke would be hilarious...like...really hilarious

But the truth is, they likely saw what they needed to from both QB prospects and there's not much to say when you are just taking the leftover

They wouldn't have traded up for Goff. They wanted to trade with the Titans and secure the 1 pick to select Wentz. When they found out the Rams were taking Goff that's when they made the deal with Cleveland. Pederson is in love with Wentz.

Eagles fans are beside themselves over this trade, but can you imagine the implosion if they did this for anyone but a quarterback?

If Dallas takes Elliott, which becomes an immediate Eagles headache, and Philly has to wait 3-4 years for Wentz to get good, they might burn that place down.

Goody.

I'm still not convinced that the Rams are taking Goff over Wentz. Please, please, please shock both fan bases tonight by calling Wentz's name first. Servers will be in meltdown mode while all of the mediots will be back-pedalling with egg on their faces. Please don't let me down.

CHICAGO -- When the Philadelphia Eagles traded multiple picks to acquire the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft from the Cleveland Browns, the intention appeared to be crystal clear.
Carson Wentz, the prospect most targeted by new head coach Doug Pederson's praise in the past month, was the player the Eagles coveted.

Only Wentz said Wednesday at Grant Park on the shores of windy Lake Michigan that no one from the team has called him or his agent since the trade went down. Really? You haven't heard a word, Carson?

"I have not," he said, completely straight-faced with a tone of moderate amazement.

Wentz, who played for FCS national champion North Dakota State, and Jared Goff of Cal are expected to be the first two players drafted. Goff is the presumed choice at No. 1 to the Los Angeles Rams. Could the Eagles be setting the stage for one of the all-time smokescreens in draft history only to take another player Thursday?

That would be a stunner to everyone from Sam Bradford to Chip Kelly. For perspective, note the Rams aren't telling the individual who will be the No. 1 pick until he's actually drafted Thursday. Last year, the Buccaneers and Titans were tight-lipped about Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota, who went 1-2.

"You want to get on the field as soon as you can," Wentz said of possibly backing up Bradford and Chase Daniel in Philadelphia.

He did say Wednesday that Pederson and his staff, which includes three former quarterbacks, look like the ideal fit.

"They've been through it. They know what it takes to be a quarterback in this league and understand the game from your position," Wentz said. "That will obviously help the development of whatever quarterback goes there."

told you
