Progress?
What Progress?
He has been a bust and will continue to be one, Eagles cut him next offseason.

The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language said:
prog·ress

1. Movement, as toward a goal; advance.
2. Development or growth

So you're saying he hasn't shown any improvement?

Obviously he's a "bust" but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a good player and if he's healthy he can contribute. His biggest problem has been injuries, nagging (irregular heartbeat, knee sprain, hip and ankle injuries) and serious (gun shot to the abdomen, internal hernia).

We're sooo deep on the defensive line, McDougal's injury is a non-factor.

I don't think you can call any injury a "non-factor".

Ok, let's put it this way. This is McDougal's 3rd season with us and he has yet to show he was worth the pick. As a matter of fact he's been talked about in trade rumors which most Eagle fans wouldn't have a problem with.

No loss. The guy's been a bench rider for one reason or another and has a whole 2 sacks in his troubled few years in the NFL. Cut the bum.

So? McDougle was the fifteenth overall pick in 2003 and has yet to start a game, obviously he hasn’t lived up to expectations. But as I said before that doesn’t mean he can’t contribute. McDougle will probably go into the season as the #2 left end on the depth chart and with the way Kearse limps off the field every few plays I wouldn’t feel too comfortable with Juqua Thomas as his only backup.

And most NFL fans have no idea what they’re talking about so I wouldn’t use their opinion as evidence to back up your argument.

We get what You're saying about McDougle, DEF, but we question how you quantify what you're saying. Now you're not wrong if you're saying that he needs to step his game up to the next level, but most Eagle fans do not necessarily feel the way you say about this particular issue; we wouldn't know that unless we tap Into "NewsBot." In fact, a healthy McDougle currently adds depth and dimension to our DL. We'll have to see how that plays out this year.

You're right on point AJM. McDougle is a nice chip to have in a clutch. We didn't have him last year so I believe he'll get play-time and experience from a much stronger and cohesive Eagles DL.

If you don't care, why did you open the thread?

I gave my opinion on a topic posted by a Cowboys' fan, that's the reason why these boards exist.

My thinking is, we haven't leaned on him in 3 years so as far as I'm concerned he hasn't been depended upon, so therefore not a part of the grand scheme of things. Yes, he does add depth and if healthy, I would like to see what he can do, but I don't know how long Andy can depend on this guy. Personally, I'd like to use him as trade bait to add depth to the WR & RB position. Also, another guy I'm not too high on anymore is Darwin Walker. I bet this will be his LAST season as an Eagle. It's time for him to go.

That made no sense.
