Kolb, Cole carted off at Eagles practice
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on August 10, 2009 9:47 AM ET
Philadelphia's bad luck training camp may have taken another unfortunate turn Monday morning,
Defensive end Trent Cole and backup quarterback Kevin Kolb were carted off the practice field with injuries, although early signs may indicate the injuries aren't too serious.
Kolb
limped off the field before getting his left knee or leg worked on and taken away. He was able to walk into the Eagles facility under his own power, which is a good sign.
Kolb spent earlier portions of the morning scrambing, doing his best "Mike Vick" impersonation, according to Asante Samuel.
Cole had trainers look at his right forearm or wrist before leaving the field.
The Eagles have already lost LB Stewart Bradley and TE Cornelius Ingram to ACL injuries, and G Shawn Andrews has been unable to practice.
Philly fans did receive some good news, however, Monday. DeSean Jackson
was back at practice only a few days after hyperextending his knee.
UPDATE: Cole has a sprained left shoulder, and Kolb has a sprained left knee. For now. Kolb's injury is "the more serious of the two"
and will require an MRI. Stay tuned.
