It's funny how Wilson was a fan favorite and emerging player before last season and now he's a "scrub".

Kendricks would likely have to wait for an injury to start, and we really only play out of our base 40% of snaps so it could take two injuries before he starts.

How much are you willing to pay to sign him?

DUDE JUST PAY HIM MONIES!!!!ONE! WHATEVER HE WANTS

That will be a nice aquisition for some team........they are finally feeling the effects of low cap space.
people don't understand how many things the eagles had go right last year and how many have been going wrong thus far this year.
that championship is forever but man oh man they have turned that into a 1 year window.
they are over NEXT year's cap already and will have to pay Foles or trade him soon enough.

kendricks was overpaid but man they have far less LB depth than Dallas now.

they have 3 starting linebackers
1 of the young guys would ride the bench if sign Kendricks because he wants to start
if you go nickle 2 of your young guys will ride the bench
you will have all your youth invested through the draft riding the bench while paying a premium for this guy, and for all we know our young guys may be better a few games into the year
then you have Joe Thomas the low cost but capable vet they signed specifically to cover any of your starters missing plus Damien Wilson who i guess you now cut
and dont forget all the young linebackers just signed like Joel Lanning who could be very good depth guys

they dont need Kendricks right now
and of course they look at these guys when they become available but they wont spend premium money on a young (age is like 21-22 without Lee) group that is deep and competitive
yea, dallas isn't really a destination for him.
he'd be in a rotation here playing run downs when 3 LBs were in the game.
he'd be back at the 25% of snaps he had in 2016 that had him requesting a trade.

he'd be the 4th backer here at maybe really more co-4th backers with Joe Thomas who can cover better.

Your keyboard shorted out...
Check on that.
I know you typed "and you're my favorite.", but the sucker wasn't working at that moment. Could be a real drag later, when you're typing something less important to someone more important in your life.
Someone more important... lol.

It can't be that the ribbon because I just changed it this morning.

I like Kendricks, but he's just third on my pecking order of players I'd like to see us get.

1. Earl Thomas (if not, then Tre Boston)
2. Jonathan Hankins
3. Kendricks

Heck, go get all 3. Solves a lot of problems.
Makes too much sense for the FO to consider it though.....:banghead:

One won last year, the other won 23 years ago (cough, cough..with Jimmy Johnson's roster).

Yeah, that's the same.
No its not the same. One won 3 of them and should've had more. One guy has been in charge of personnel since 2008 and was so good at his job he got demoted and they gave Chip Kelly the keys to the castle and let him be in charge of roster moves. Nope, not the same at all.

At least you understand why it won't happen. Stephen won't sign any of these guys because they either want big bucks or don't fit out scheme.
Marrinelli doesn't like Hankins at all because he isn't quick twitch. Boston wants big money and is more of a SS type. There are probably good
reasons the Egals are letting Kendricks go. Why do all of the zoners on this board covet other teams cast offs so much...???

we are solid on starting LB's at this point and don't know that he would be worth the cash to be a backup....

We've got 3 blue chip starters for 2.5 starting LB slots, and two of them are young guys we want to give all the snaps we can.

We should not be spending real money on another backup LB. Thomas and Wilson are our veteran backups.

I think Marinelli has evolved a little. We've shown some interest in bigger 1techs. Probably not enough for us to shell out big for Hankins, though.

Wait a minute.....the Super Bowl Champs cut their best LB this late into free agency. Didn’t they screw him?

And aren’t they extremely short at LB now?

The same exact questions asked of the Dez release. It happens people!

By cutting Kendricks with a post-June 1st designation, Philly saves 6M on the cap and only kills 1.6M vs. 4.4M saved and 3.2M dead. Also, they are hoping Corey Nelson grabs the starting spot, especially because if Hicks is healthy, Kendricks would not be happy with the cut into his playing time. If you watch the Eagles they run their D at times with only two LB's anyway.

Sean Lee......I'm not going to say it. Bad mojo . A rookie and Jaylon.

Nothing solid about that group........other than on paper.

One won last year, the other won 23 years ago (cough, cough..with Jimmy Johnson's roster).

Yeah, that's the same.
Roseman is a cool story as a guy who worked his way up from ball boy to GM and "sorta" led the eagles to a title.
But the team hired Baltimore's scouting head to overhaul the entire scouting dept and really run the drafts and Roseman mostly played Madden by signing and trading for vets as fast as he could ignoring future ramifications.
Ignoring that Chip Kelly had done the same thing and saw 1 year success lead to falling off a cliff.
It worked out and he will be appreciated in Philly forever, or until they fail to win a title this year. Whichever comes first.

But make zero mistake Roseman isn't even a cockroach in the NFL lexicon as compared to Jerry Jones.
Jerry hired Jimmy. Any 'but Jimmy' stuff is stupid. Jimmy was a collegiate coach who was FORCED to draft Aikman and already had Irvin on the roster.
The Jimmy players thing is tired and weak as water.
He was a heck of a defensive football talent evaluator.
He was a better coach and motivator.
But his success is related 100% to Jerry giving him a job, forcing him to draft Aikman and Jerry not wanting to pay Herschel Walker QB money.

Jimmy had 4 years as head honcho in Miami and that team stagnated. 8-8, 9-7, 10-6, 9-7.
He never won more than 1 playoff game in a season and lost his last game versus Dallas 20-0.
He lost his last ever game 62-7.
