I think the Cowboys really need another project at reciever right now, buried 7 deep on the depth chart. How could they lose with him?

By the way...

We may want to take Eric Morris at tech. He's the next Danny Amendola, who is the next Wes Welker.

Morris has been nowhere near as productive as Amendola.

Nowhere near the talent either one had either, in my opinion.

I would have rather had danny than stanback as a project wr. What did Danny fail to do to get a shot? Catch a bunch of passes? Well no one besides T.O. And Witten did that. Have big punt returns? Well no one did that.

A modern-day warrior
Mean mean stride,
Danny Amendola
Mean mean pride.

Though his mind is not for rent,
Dont put him down as arrogant.
His reserve, a quiet defense,
Riding out the days events.
The river

And what you say about his company
Is what you say about society.
Catch the mist, catch the myth
Catch the mystery, catch the drift.

The world is, the world is,
Love and life are deep,
Maybe as his eyes are wide.

Danny Amendola,
He gets open on you,
And the space he invades
He gets by on you.

No, his mind is not for rent
To any God or government.
Always hopeful, yet discontent,
He knows changes arent permanent,
But change is.

And what you say about his company
Is what you say about society.
Catch the witness, catch the wit,
Catch the spirit, catch the spit.

The world is, the world is,
Love and life are deep,
Maybe as his skies are wide.

Exit the warrior,
Danny Amendola,
He gets open on you,
And the energy you trade,
He gets right on to the friction of the day. GA_googleFillSlot("lyricsfreak-300x50-btf");

There is no confirmation of this except Newman saying it.

Not on NFL transactions. Says Dallas signed Travis Wilson from the practice squad today is all.

Weird.

Danny Amendola kills men by the hundreds. And if HE were here, he'd consume the Commanders with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse.

This entire thread was worth reading just to see this one response. :)

As for the lost of Danny...does it really matter? Who was he going to get playing time over next year?

Owens? Not a chance.

Williams? Nope.

Crayton? Hardly.

Austin? No way.

Hurd? If he's even still here, possibly.

Stanback? Maybe, since he can't stay healthy.

Right now he'd go into the season, if all those guys are still here, at best 7th on the roster. He likely wouldn't have gotten any higher than the PC again next year so it's really not that huge a loss.

I mean it's not like we run a whole load of 5 WR sets where we could get him on the field a lot.

So your saying there is still a small glimmer of hope for next year?

Yeah, he'll be tearing up the league with his ability any day now.
We'll all soon be lamenting the loss of this great player.

What were the Cowboys thinking?
