Trent Cole is on the way out of Philadelphia.

The Eagles had been hoping to get Cole to take a pay cut, but that hasn’t happened. Now Cole is expected to be released within the next 24 hours, according to Adam Caplan of ESPN.

Cole is a good pass rusher who has 14.5 sacks in the last two seasons, but with his cap number scheduled to be $11.6 million this season, it’s no surprise that the Eagles felt like that was more than they could justify spending.

and they just traded Shady for Kiko, Wow, I feel like the Eagles won that trade if Kiko plays as good or improves from his rookie season

McCoy is one of the top RBs in the NFL, Alonso is a JAG. How do you figure Philly won that trade? SMH

They have a lot of money to spend with a lot of holes to fill - QB, no true lead running back, OLB, an entire secondary.

But, hey, now that Howie Roseman has moved out of the football wing of the facility, all will be good, right?

Right. Chip Kelly is a genius. He's in the process of changing the NFL forever. Nobody better anywhere to be a HC than Chip.

Not sure what Philly is gonna do on offense, but this was a good move for the defense. Kiko had an amazing rookie season but missed all of last year with injury. He could be one of the top LBers in the game.

It's funny how Dallas fans are saying how Philly got robbed when we're the same ones who are saying it's no big deal if we lose the league's leader rusher and we're willing to draft a LBer in the 1st.

I don't think Philly got robbed.

I think they hosed Buffalo... or the Bills hosed themselves.

They get a back who was pretty sucky for most of the '14 season and who'll count $10 mil against the cap this season.

On top of that Spillner would have given the Bills everything McCoy will at 1/3 the cost. Most of Spillner's problem was the Bills offensive line.

They got hosed when they signed Rex

I'm glad we don't have to face McCoy any longer. Shady was a legit play maker that usually killed us.

Alonso is not an impact player.

ps- it's CJ Spiller, we might get to know him better if we lose Murray

Dallas was about the only team McCoy was up for this past season.

His 4.2 YPC, 28 rec, 5 TD's weren't anything to write home about.
