Eagles won't make the playoffs......according to Eric Allen

Eric Allen said on Sports Center that the Eagles won't make the playoffs this year. While it deosn't mean anything, at least some mediots are starting to open their eyes and realize that the Eagles weren't that good, the rest of us were just that bad.

I have actually come to think that Eric Allen is the most forward thinking analysts around..... he seems to be less reactionary, and more proactive in making his predictions.

he's probably right...they cant run the ball, their OL is playing average at best and their defense has been basically bad

I forget who said it last night, TJ I think, said the Iglles won't make it either. Irvin said they would because they have McNabb. Now if that's the McNabb from last year, I say yes, they have a shot, IF their defense plays somewhat better. But if it's the McNabb from this year so far, then forget it.

You get blasted because it's ridiculous to criticize Irvin for praising any team other than the Cowboys. By your criteria, Eric Allen must also be a Judas, considering how he's criticizing his former team.

Well you didn't do a very good job then.
I was not criticizing Irvin for doing his job, he can give all the praise he wants if deserved or not to whomever he wants. I like Irvin and his comments and his demeanor, he's great. I was simply stating that he was way too overboard on all the NY love last night, I think all the hoopla from them was clouding his comments, which is very unlike him. I heard Irvin criticize the Cowboys before, and it didn't bother me, for the most parts he was right.

i'd really like to see it happen tho. at some point Dallas has to close out the deal in order to advance beyond the frustrations of recent seasons. to usher in a new era. and the onus should be on Dallas to pull it off regardless of what other teams do against Philly.

nothing would be more convincing of that worm turning than the Cowboys going into the Linc and Philadelphia (a place where we've batted .000 for years) and whipping up on a desparate Eagles team. and the more desparate - the better.

With no running game and Mcnubb hobbled, they are desperate but still dangerous.

I think its going to be freakin hilarious if they don't make the playoffs. That philthy town with burn Reid, Mcnubb, and BO in effigy. They had more than their fair share of shots at a title and have nothing. I'd actually prefer not to go to the playoffs if we don't win it all. The fact that philthy has been teased for so long is really sweet poetic justice though. I've never seen a team, coach, and city that didn't win anything so arrogant. And their fans make third world soccer fans look normal.
