    Projected Starters

    Diggs
Joseph*/Brown (we have no idea if Joseph will be suspended, it appears to be a camp battle)

Lewis/Brown (If Brown loses the starting job, he may replace Lewis as the nickel corner. I believe Lewis was benched last yr late in the season, due to poor play)

    Prospects

Nahshon Wright-former day 2 pick, will he force his way onto the field? High pick is expected to play a large role.
Bland-replaces Robinson. Team had a 4th rd grade. Special Teamer this yr. Can he force Goodwin off the roster?

I feel a lot better about Brown today than 2/3 years ago.

We know what the plan is at CB. Diggs, Joseph, and Brown are the starters, with Wright and Lewis as backups. But who's the backups to our safeties? And who's the starting FS?

Al Harris easily the best assistant brought in by MM.

I expect Wright to make that big second year jump.

He should have that opportunity after Joseph spends an afternoon on Park Ave with Roger.

Goodell surprises the world by not suspending Joseph, as a make up call for Zeke and others. Joseph Starts, and he Diggs have a combination of 20 INT's. Brown adds another 5 in the slot position.

Brown and Lewis aren’t anything special. Let’s see if Diggs can continue where he left off and if Joseph can live up to his potential. We could be a really good secondary or a mediocre one. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up a vet if things start off rocky.

The Cowboys have the best secondary in the division. Nobody knows what is going on with the Joseph situation. All we know is he is working out at the Star and Jerry will not get rid of him. I think he will get some type of suspension for optics but I don’t know how the league would rule on it.

You Sir are living in a dream world. Goodell loves stickin it to Jerry. Look for 6-8games in the dog house.

Things things may be different going into next season. Joseph & Wright will both have more experience & development. And now in later years of their contracts, Brown & Lewis will offer the Cowboys more financial incentive to release them.

Brown is entering the final year of his deal & offers $5 million in cap relief if released or traded. Lewis has two more years on his but would still give the Cowboys $3.47 million if cut after June 1st, pushing $1.17 million in dead money to the 2023 cap.

Will he get charged? We have to assume he is playing until we hear otherwise.

There is a reason why Brown is still on the roster, insurance for Joseph. Could of saved 5 million if they released him.

I don’t think Joseph will be charged with anything. The police got the shooters but the case has not been closed so you never know. The local media is not going to let it go. They keep saying stuff on the shows like they don’t think Joseph will play this year. The media has some type of agenda. I notice the same type of coverage with Sam Williams. Guilty no matter what happened. I hate the way society is going.

In Quinn's scheme, the success of the CBs is tied to the success of the Free Safety.

There is plenty of talent at CB but the Free Safety position was a fail in 2021.
Quinn's scheme gives CBs the leeway to takes chances, but that only works if the FS does his job.

Hooker coming into the season healthy should be an upgrade over Kazee.
    - However, what are the chances that Hooker stays healthy all season?

Wilson is a good player but probably better at SS.

Israel Mukuamu is an unknown at this point.

Quinn played some 4 CBs set at the end of last season.

The 4th CB could end up with significant playing time.

Pretty much we have 1 true FS in Hooker, Wilson does take snaps back there, but we agree, more of a strong safety. If healthy, Hooker should be an upgrade. We have been saying this for years, do they move a corner to safety or do they run out more of a multiple corner package?

Ideally Joseph wins the starting job
    That is the perfect scenario
As for suspension I still don’t know all the details so hard for me to judge. He wasn’t armed so that’s not on him. I don’t think they were in his vehicle

We don't know that he wasn't armed. We just have what is Lawyer told the police. What if he passed the gun to his buddy to do the shooting. Lots of stuff to still come out about this nastiness.

    It’s possible
But he could be suspended over the fight or just about anything
But I’d expect the police to know who had gun by now
He could be charged whether he had the gun or not if he knew they had a gun
But it’s been long enough I think the police know what happened and have chosen not to charge him
Either way it shows poor decision by him
But assuming he isn’t charged it is ideal if he can win starting job. That’s why they drafted him
