This game is being played here in San Antonio this weekend. I looked at the rosters and was only familiar with a few of the names. I am thinking of taking my son to the game, is there anyone in particular on the rosters to look out for?

Good names already... I'd add Dwayne Slay, Clint Ingram, DonTrell Moore, and Nate Salley.

Just on first glance, I've seen a lot of Shrine games with less talent than this one.

I'm interested in what Reggie McNeal can do when the A&M coaches arent f'ing him up
Did you see who was coaching the West? :laugh2:

DBs Charlie Peprah and Dwayne Slay are both first day draftees.

Orr at Wr might sneak into round 1.

John Jolly, LeKevin Smith and Frostee Rucker at DL.

Taurean Henderson at RB. A good showing could mean alot as he is a great receiver but needs to show from a pro style formation.

Drew Olson at QB.

Reggie McNeal is an interesting case. Good athlete will need position change due to size I believe. Wonder if he can play WR or FS. His athleticism and size are good fits at either.

McNeal was an all-state DB in HS, however I think that, under the right system, he can QB in the NFL. He has a strong arm, and is far more accurate than Vince Young is, and everyone is projecting Young as a QB (dont let their respective completion % this year fool you, Young threw mostly to the TE and RBs while McNeal threw downfield nearly half the time).

His combine numbers will blow scouts away and make someone draft him purely on athleticism. It's not everyday a QB runs a 4.28 40.

I like Hass. I think he is a Ricky Proehl-ish type guy. Should make a decent NFL possession type receiver with the occasional big play.
Paul Pinegar is NFLE fodder at best. Watched that guy get confused and abused by Boise State too many times. He may look like an NFL QB but just doesn't play like one.

My problem with McNeal as a QB is just size.
I think he is more Vick than VY who I liken to Ben R.

McNeal won't come near 4.28 for official numbers. If he is sub 4.4 that will raise many eyebrows and that he may can do.

Last year, McNeal attended some combine for college juniors and was officially clocked at sub 4.3. The guy has Deion speed, he is that fast. However, he doesnt have the lateral speed of guys like Vince Young and therefore takes more hard hits. However, if he gets in a straight line, there isnt a defender in the country who can catch him. I'll see if i can find the video, but in 2004 against KSU, McNeal was running and a K-State DB was waiting for the angle on him, and McNeal was so fast the DB never got a chance to get an angle and McNeal just blew by him.

Yea.
The 40 times that are thrown around about some guys are comical.

You act like sub 4.3 is impossible. It was done just last year by Fabian Washington
