all i can say is that is foolish on their part.
If I have a perfect driving record for 3 years and have a small accident at a redlight, that doesnt mean all the sudden that i cant drive.
Peyton manning has multiple games under 150 passing yards...does that mean he cant QB?
Using 1 sample out of 75 samples to completely change the conclusion is foolish. Statistics will tell you that 1 sample is an outlier and should be disregarded.

I think NFL teams are valuing different criteria than most of us fans. They are looking at level of competition.... Manziel played and played well against Alabama, LSU , Auburn, and Missouri with LSU being the only bad loss. I believe he got hurt and knocked out of that game???? As for the rest he lost by a total of 18 points against the mighty Alabama, Auburn, and Mizzu. This is all compared to Louisvilles schedule who's toughest competition was University of Central Florida... really??? And in this he lost against Bortles who is his competition in this draft class. I watched that game and that Bortles looked much better even tho the score was fairly close.

When teams saw Bridgewaters proday, he reinforced the opinion on him that his accuracy is suspect, doesn't have good velocity, and is small in stature. When they saw Manziel they saw that he actually has as strong an arm as all but a few, great accuracy, and not scared of the brightlights... he put on a passing clinic. Manziels proday showed that you can believe your eyes when you watch him play. Bridgewaters pro-day showed you can believe your eyes as well just not believe his win record against really bad competition.

How does this article relate to:
This is all compared to Louisvilles schedule who's toughest competition was University of Central Florida... really???

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1816711-ucf-vs-louisville-live-score-and-highlights
UCF 38, Louisville 35 – FINAL

It relates to them playing a SEC team that was 7-1 in the SEC and ranked #4 in the nation and FARRRRRRRR TOUGHER than Central Florida...coming in HUGE underdogs and given pretty much no chance to win and stomping a defense that had allowed only 12.9 ppg through its entire season in the SEC.

I guess it was an accident LOL

You do realize, don't you, that the Gators sucked last year and didn't even finish in the top 20 whereas Manziel played teams that were in the top 5 and 2 of them were national championship contenders, right? Yes he lost to them but he played them to within an inch of losing but Louisville beating the gators is not a huge accomplishment.

Again... I'm not touting that EITHER of them should be drafted in the first round but that it isn't a far stretch of the imagination for Manziel to be rated higher than Bridgewater.

21/32 250 yds 2 TD 1 INT 76.8 QBR
29/38 341 yds 2 TD 0 INT 89.2 QBR.
Tough to see in any way shape or form that Bortles had a better game.

Please go back and click the link I posted and learn to read. The #4 team in the nation didnt make it to the sugar bowl because they sucked. You dont even know what season you're discussing.

Shaking off an early hit that flattened him and knocked off his helmet, Bridgewater was 20 of 32 passing for 266 yards and two touchdowns against the heavily favored Gators. Among his throws was a pinpoint, 15-yard timing toss thatDeVante Parker acrobatically grabbed as he touched one foot down in the corner of the end zone.

No accidents here.

Here is a hint...my avatar, is this play being discussed here ;)

The Texans should pass on a QB but the Cowboys must pick one if available? I don't understand that logic.

I can almost buy into that based on the difference between the QB's @#1 and @#33 isn't that big....the difference between Clowney and the next best pass rusher is much larger...I would think that the chance of getting a very good QB at #33 is much better than getting a dynamic, potentially game-changer at that position (jury is still out for me on whether Clowney is going to be a game-changer)

OK so you're talking about 1 game 2 years ago compared to Manziels 1st game and again you're not taking into account the total body of work. Are you really trying to say that the level of competition Bridgewater has faced the last 2 years is the same as Manziels? If you are then we really don't need to discuss anymore. Let me ask you this. All things being equal what about Bridgewater makes you think he should be rated higher than Manziel? I'm just curious? Level of competition? Nope... Arm strength? Nope... Accuracy? DEFINATELY NOT! So I'm just curious.

I am not talking anything about manziel...i couldnt give a crap bout that future bust.

Why should teddy be higher?

Lets see

Not a stupid bonehead that will end up in trouble with the law.
Hard work ethic.
Can already run a pro offense
Better vision
Doesnt have to rely on his legs to bail him out
Awareness in the pocket

everything a pro team wants, teddy is better at.

So it's your opinion that somehow Bridgewater is going to be more responsible even tho he has never been in this kind of environment.
No one has ever said anything bad about Manziels work ethic that I've ever seen.
It's easy to run a pro-style offense and have vision when you play against:

Lets see him make the same read progressions against Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Missouri, etc. etc.

Again, please read this carefully, for many of the concerns you've discussed I don't like the idea of Manziel in the 1st round but there is nothing, NOTHING about Bridgewater that makes him a better prospect than Manziel.

How about if he makes those read progressions say against one of the #1 defenses in the nation only allowing 12.9 points per game....and, get this, does it in a bowl game on a national stage...not just some regular season game?

Oh wait...he already did that.
