Makes all the difference in the world.......I once did a study on the political backgrounds of some of the head refs... And depending on what school the guy attended....you could actually see tendencies in a way the game is regulated.

I know Jerry got fined for his comments on Ed back in 2008, but I can't recall any games where I thought Ed screwed us over.

I don't think Hochuli has an agenda against the Cowboys, but as others have said, he is going to make sure everything is called and explained elaborately, with broad sweeping gestures, popping veins and bronzer...

I actually used to think Ed was fair......and that's all you can ask for from a ref....Just get it right. But lately....he sure seems to want HIS airtime. And your not gonna take it away. The other thing I've noticed is....If you ever complain about one of his calls....Just plan on getting about 3-5 more against you. Which I don't think is right. Every play in the NFL you could call a penalty....I wish there was a way to take referees out of the equation...and let the players decide the outcome.

He doesn't just avoid long sleeves. He's captain of the smedium size shirt that doesn't fit.

I don't really mind him doing the games, although I think he breaks out in a cold sweat if he doesn't get to call a penalty after more than five minutes.
