Again, what need would we have for an interim coach? If we're firing Garrett that means the season's lost. Why spoil a good draft pick by trying to get wins after that?

Exactly.

And if you're thinking about interim coaches before the season has even begun, you have the wrong coach in place. But then some of us knew that already.

What a messed up situation.

Or.....unsourced ridiculous rumors. Depending how you look at it.

It's absurd to think the difference between Callahan and either Linehan or Marenelli would amount to more than a fart in a windstorm if Garrett collapses.

Or that we wouldn't be playing for the QB pick anyway if he did.

It's just dumb.

I would rather have Linehan than Callahan and would rather have Maranelli than Kiffen so I am happy with these changes. I just wish that Callahan would be able to pursue another job. I don't believe for one second that we are keeping Callahan so he can be interim coach if Garrett gets fired. That's nonsense! Just Werder giving his opinion.

Looks to me like the walking supercomputer Garrett doesn't have a whole heck of a lot to do with Linehan and Callahan coaching the offense and Marinelli coaching the defense.

I guess he can still clap and high-five on the sideline and maybe, if he doesn't screw that up, they will let him hold the challenge flag and throw it. But only when directed to challenge from someone in a booth.

Well, that's what id want if we were to collapse next year. Right?

You tell me. You know where I stand on that front. I'm ready for change more than anyone.

So in your opinion, complete collapse next year means QB change no matter the reason for that collapse?

Not QB change, but a high first round pick means QB from here on out, or it should.

Maybe that is why he would be hiring him as interim coach so he won't spoil a good draft pick!

Werder has been right more than I would like to admit.

We have had a mole for years now.

Callahan as HC... Oh brother!

Has he? What's he been right about? That's an honest question.

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully, one of these days, this team will get things sorted out and start running things in a manner that is conducive to winning.

Let's hope. It won't have anything to do with anything Ed Werder reports when it happens.

Goodness I hope not. I realize Jerry is borderline senile but surely that guy won't ever be the HC in Dallas.
