COWBOYS TO SHOWCASE ROOKIES?
Posted by Mike Florio on September 28, 2008, 12:52 p.m. EDT
With the Commanders believed to be committed to taking away receiver Terrell Owens and tight end Jason Witten, the Dallas Cowboys could be leaning on two rookies.

Per ESPN’s Ed Werder, the Cowboys plan to lean on rookie running back Felix Jones and rookie tight end Martellus Bennett.

Jones, who has scored touchdowns on a long kick return and a long run from scrimmage, is expected to take some snaps as a receiver.

While FJ isn't a "stretch the field #2" receiver like many are crying for, he has the capacity to be a Westbrook type of receiver-back, but I think he has the capacity to be even better than Westbrook.

Good. More icing on the cake for the "W". Sling it to 'Tellus, I say. let the CB's try and shoulder tackle that.

I am looking forward to seeing two TE sets with Martellus and Witten a lot more.

Felix needs to touch the ball at least 10 times a game, he's too much of a threat not to get him on the field.

If you try and double both TO and Witten, Barber and Felix will rack up 200-250 yards on the ground and everyone else will single covered. If the line can give Romo time, he will pick them apart.

That's what I was thinking as well, The Commanders are going to try and match up one on one with our O-line?, That will only keep them in the game for a half.
