Over almost two decades, and after every season's end, Cowboys fanatics, such as we, look towards the future. We make our peace with defeat; allow some time to pass and gradually allow our hearts and minds to heal and become optimistic once again. Personally, I started thinking about next year, 30 minutes after our controversial loss to the Packers. 30 minutes. Enough time to mourn. Time to look up, get up and never give up. No time for babies in this business. Let's get back to work.

With that in mind, let's discuss the future. Let's discuss the impact that "educated" football analyzers actually have on how The Dallas Cowboys (or any team for that matter's) "educated" FO, coaching and personnel systems rate the Freshman class of the 2015 season. Does their intuition actually have an impact on our scouts? Or do we see far beyond what these teams see and other analyzers do?

Personally, although educated and by no means should their merit be discounted, they're eager to point out the obvious. The repetition is so repetitious that sometime I feel they're copying off one another and just mixing it up a little bit.

So I ask you this Cowboys Brethren, How likely are we to follow the BPA scenario that these educated football analyzers will put up in late March (When all the nitty gritty is done) as opposed to our own (We've made mistakes in the past but we're learning) agenda. Will they influence our crucial decisions?

Hit it!

By addressing our most glaring need in the pass rush dpt we can alleviate the need to draft need in the draft. It'll allow our FO to pick BPA vs need.

Cowboys most likely will follow what has worked for them in the past and that is they will take the best player on the board who is one of the best at his position in the draft class.I really hope its not a Running back though even though i like both Gurley and Gordon,I can live with and DE,DT,OT ,CB or LB.

No one on this board is qualified to discuss this issue. If so, they wouldn't be wasting their talent on a fan message board.

Well if there's going to be a standard they need to fire 90% of the talking heads, sports-writers, and former "scouts" that spew nonsense and stupidity and get paid for it....

Johnny Manziel,,, LMAO!!!

I question your logic here I have seen this board have better understanding of draft need and BPA than what was done by the front office.

If they stay at 27 the highest ranked player on their board and surest thing (Zack Martin type pick) is not likely to be a pass rusher.

It will be Gurley IMO. Even if his knee is fine it will scare some teams off especially given that Gordon is a first and it will be a very strong day 2 class

With their 1st pick in the 2015 annual player selection...the Dallas Cowboys pick....1. BPA, but it won't be a QB of the future....

I can see a trade down actually, as long as they don't trade down more than 10 spots and get a 3rd also. Depending what the value chart shows for pick 27 points.
Wouldn't mind DL, Michael Bennett from Ohio State in the 2nd round. Later, if need in the 2nd or 3rd, get a RB. If not needed, go defense again, unless an OT is there.
