When this pick was made during the draft I was very excited about the possibilities behind this Line. I mean seriously why put together one of the best offensive lines ever and then put a average Rb behind it kinda of defeats the purpose. IMO Find an incredible talent to accent your greatest strength thus creating the scariest nightmare for opposing teams.

With months to still go before training camp i watched thread after thread arguing over this pick! some hated it, some loved it, some wanted Ramsey, so wished we kept Murray. It became sort of annoying i think for everyone after awhile. Then i saw a 2:20 Video on Youtube and I grew even more excited at the possibilities, here is that Video:

Here was another good one that made me want EE over Henry:

After watching this 20-40 times I found it very hard to contain my enthusiasm about the upcoming season. Many haters of the pick were worried about him being a bust, and there was lots of talk about taking a back this high. All i kept thinking about was how fast Elliott makes his decision and cuts and how little time the defense would have to react, not to mention according to SS how long the line would have to hold there block and it seemed downright unfair to defenses. The smile on my face grew wider everytime i watched this video.

FF to Pre-season and the Seahawks game and it seemed to good to be true. A true tease of things to come. Week 1 vs the Giants wasn't what i or anyone probably expected but looking back i get it, he was excited and it was his first game at full speed so he needed to adjust and calm his nerves and it showed. Look how fast he has adjusted to the game speed it is obvious the game is slowing for him. Here is an article today on NFL.com Terrance Williams says it perfectly.

Look at the Improvement each week in Yards per carry and think back to the video i provided.

Ezekiel Elliott + Cowboys Offensive Line Truly = Frankensteins Monster

Bengal game surely showed the NFL whats coming ! Teams will be dreading when this running game comes to town.

Awesome Draft Pick

Agreed. Elliott was a very wise pick. Will he hold up in the long run with his bruising style? That always the question when taking RB's so high in the draft!
Whats funny i understood why a lot of people really wanted Ramsey or D line i don't blame anyone for where they were at that moment. I am glad they went the way they did because we really have something special now and years from now EE will hopefully be in the same conversation with other great Dallas backs but i don't want to get ahead of myself

I keep saying it. His blocking is a game changer. Romo was injured because of poor RB blocking in 2014 and 2015.

Deke blasts everyone that tries to come through, every time. He never misses.

A great RB does more for the defense than a great DB in DALLAS' scheme and style.

*The Ramsey lovers ain't that bright.

I was delighted when Dallas selected Elliott. He was most certainly the best player available AND a tremendous need for tbe Cowboy offense. There is no way any club can win without a great running game. It is what makes an offense work. Look back at 2014. That was the Running Game.

He is a great blocker for sure, i would disagree about the Ramsey Comment because he is playing well and i don't think we would have regretted that pick either but Zeke is clearly more of a game changer

Actually, in the aggregate, there is no correlation between running the ball well and winning.

Yet Romo got injured even though Zeke made his block. Nothing against Romo. Sometimes crap happens anyways.

I agree sometimes things just happen. Romo also does hold on to the ball to long sometimes when he should just throw it away thats what happened vs seattle this pre-season. Problem is he has succeeded so many times doing it it is 2nd nature and a huge part of his game.

I would, respectfully, point out to you Sir that the last great Cowboy Championship club had its offensive foundation anchored on a player named Emmitt Smith. If you are speaking Defense...thats a different topic and l see the game from tbe defensive side of tne ball.

You can point it out until you're blue in face. It doesn't change reality.

It is a more efficient way to close out games in the 4th quarter, it does have its benefits for sure! I respect your point since there have been teams who have won the superbowl without a great running game. It can raise the percentages for sure though

I would also like to mention that the second last Cowboy "Dynasty" was driven offensively by a fellow named Tony Dorsett..lest we forget. The next Dallas SB team will have its offense rooted in ....yes...you quessed it Elliott. Funny how that works.
