Perhaps it's the gaping hole we now have at Edge that trading Parsons creates? Good thing it's easy to find a war daddy in the draft. Oh ....
I can see your point there but of course we weren't counting on losing Marshawn kneeland.
I have to believe that for our team especially it is much more difficult to get an elite defensive tackle we just never seem to hit on that and now we have one.
Along with Kenny Clark who is another very good defensive tackle
We have been weak in this area for so long I believe it's one of the biggest things that has cost us in the playoffs.
After careful analysis of Micah Parsons he is purely a guy who relies on speed.
If he loses a step his game is very compromised
He is not a physical player he is not a run stopper in any way shape or form.
He is not a leader in the locker room.
He has been chastised by his teammates and it didn't really seem like anyone was upset that he was traded.
He is not a game wrecker in big moments of playoff games with only one sack against 45-year-old Tom Brady in garbage time.
And the guy who commands a salary that is truly a financial burden for what he brings to the table
Which is mostly sacks in perfect Storm types of games where we have a big lead and in garbage time.
We can draft someone with the 20th pick that will improve our defense and on a rookie contract allow us to spend money on free agents that will also improve our defense.
No telling how he recovers from this injury but for once we got rid of a player maybe a year early rather than a year too late.
