Eisen - How can the Cowboys ultimately win the Micah Parsons trade?

You think with Micah alone this team makes the playoffs last year? Seriously?

And you do realize Micah played most of the year in 2024, right? When the defense was also one of the worst in the league?
First of all we weren’t a playoff team in 2024 cause Dak was out for season with injury.

And yes, I believe with Micah we have a much better opportunity to make the playoffs and defense isnt as derailed leading to one of worst in Cowboys history..

Also talks about Pickens, and the draft. Good stuff!

We lost the Parsons trade when Micah decided to lay down on that sidleine table.

Let it go. Swallow it. Whatever ....

Try to build a good team. Trying to color the Parsons trade as a win doesnt make you any better.

That was probably the moment I realized who was on the wrong side of this argument. I don’t know how it’s possible to not know him. Pickens just literally beat him deep lol he was the biggest name traded at the deadline….i don’t get it.
I'm honestly not trying to insult the guy and you certainly don't have to know who plays inside linebacker for the Jaguars to have an NFL opinion, but it's hard to get deep into the woods on any NFL subject if a guy doesn't know who one of the more well known players in the league is and one who was traded at the deadline last year for two first round picks.

They already have won, getting rid of the mouth was the best move for the Boys. Parsons is not a team player and we all know that he's going to get his sacks, but the problem with him is he was a ME kind of guy who didn't show any leadership on the field or sidelines during games. You never saw Parsons getting on players, trying to pump them up. All you saw was a player standing out on the playing field with him hands on his hips looking defeated or kneeling on the sideline getting his usual breather when games were really tight. The Cowboys got a couple of valuable 1st rd picks and a pretty decent DT that could pay huge dividends this year.
Not 1 micah fan on this website will refute these claims. Not 1. That's why I call them what I do. It's not name-calling when it's true.

No, you’re just trying to discredit my opinion on Parsons cause not familiar with Sauce. I’m assuming didn’t have anything else to counter with.

Not sure why that matters. Has no relevance on discussion. Diehard Cowboy fans don’t have to know players from all the teams. I was honest in the discussion. I could have looked him up and provided an unknowledgable opinion on him.

If you don’t like or agree with my opinion, offer a civil rebuttal or move on instead of personal insults which basically means you concede the argument.

Yes.
I like what Rich says, adding Crosby, then another player at #20. This, along with Parker and the new coaches, should improve them tremendously.
However I would not give up the 12th over all pick. The 20th, maybe.

Then again, can they get Hendrickson as a FA, and keep both picks. Would he be as good as having Crosby, maybe not. But it would be worth t to have 2 up and coming draft picks.

Now if they were to give #12 for Crosby, what if we got their 2nd and 3rd rounds picks also.
The Raiders wouldn't do that but that id be a bit more interested in that

IDK what you’re saying there. But you should quit while you’re ahead.

2 first round picks is greater than one. Which you can’t even accept as fact.

I’ve got all day to go round and round.
I’m not saying I agree or disagree with you about Micah, but there are many factors that go into trade compensation. I don’t think the compensation always reflects the caliber of the player.

I hardly ever use emojis but this one is appropriate: :lmao:
"You 4-time All-Pro bum!" Sorry, that deserves another: :lmao2:
You know I am right. :lmao::lmao:

Ok lol. You’ve showed no data or analysis or results or impacts. Your whole point was they aren’t of the same caliber because GB paid two first rounders. It’s silly logic. I’m suppose to trust your analysis on Quinnen when you didn’t even know who Sauce was?

I have no issue with your stance. I agree Micah is better. But you don’t like that I said they are of the same caliber despite him being highly regarded as a top 5 DT.
You need to get off the sauce. :muttley:

It’s not that your opinion of Micah is discredited. It’s just hard to take it serious on Quinnen. I have no doubt in my mind you know Cowboys players.

Micah was no longer an impact player.Or is was a small impact compared to his first year.
He was overweight , and out of shape, and thats why imo he had the bad back and got the leg injury.
He may never be the same player again, and it will take 2 years to get back in football shape.

Did GB get their moneys worth?? I dont think so, they had a good defense already but adding Micah didnt
produce great results.
They could only tie the cowboys lol.

So I am glad they are stuck paying him 47mil a year and not dallas.

I conclude dallas won the trade, because GB surely did not. They are worse off with micah.
Rock on brother you called that correct.
Micah was not making an impact on our defense when it counted and couldn't stay healthy and help Green Bay either.

There are absolutely no guarantees on how he's going to come back from the injury and how long it's going to take but to say he is a guaranteed Hall of famer is being a bit presumptuous in my opinion.

If the Cowboys can draft Sonny styles we got the better of that.

Sonny is every bit as elite an
athlete as Micah heck his vertical is only a couple inches short of Michael Jordan.
More than that he's a football player serious and all about the job at hand.

If we get him he will make a bigger impact in big games than Micah ever did

The facts are the NFL does not consider of similar value on the open market. QW is a run stuffer who can get to the QB...Micah is a pass rushing specialist in a pass happy league.

Feel how you feel...but we have an actual market test and we have historical data that says otherwise.

For the record, I agree with getting rid of Micah but I was ticked off we didn't get MORE for Micah. Part of Micah's value is perception and the ability to sell tickets. QW is not really doing that for your franchise.
I thought Jerry wanted to sell tickets?

Right in that being named All-Pro means nothing? Please stop. That is a comment that when called out, the person who said it should just slowly slink away from the stage and pretend no one noticed they said it. Not doing so just ensures that it follows you (and it will, lol).
