are just taking up 2 roster spots at this time. Maybe not Newman, but Ellis should have been put on IR. This guy is afraid that his career may be over. Instead week after week. will Ellis play.. will Ellis. Enough already.

He will be back this season, sooner than later.

I'm hoping that Newman don't come back until next for the Bears game personally. I think we can honestly get past Miami with Reeves. And for Ellis, don't rush, more time and experience for Spencer. If Ellis comes back towards the middle of the season would be great heading to the final stretch. Spencer will be able to hold his own with playing time.

Okay, who do you think should've taken Ellis' place? It's not like we cut anyone who would help us out. I'll wait for Ellis, he'll help later in the season.

I can't stand Ellis. I think he completed destoyed his legacy here over the last few seasons with all the whining. I mean he only played like 9 games as a LB so we don't even really know what he brings to the defense.

BUT...

After watching the game last week I want Ellis back whenever he can get on the field and provide some pass rush. We were a little better last week in my opinion about getting some rush on Eli to where he was 'bothered' a few times.

We should have sacked him like 4 or 5 times though because that Giants O line is not very good. I bet the Packers come up with at least 4 sacks on Sunday against them.

Ellis can help. That is a simple fact and from there I wait for him.

I will be glad to have both of them, whenever we get them. If we win games in the mean time, all the better.

Not that I want us to lose to Miami, but they ARE an AFC team-I'm just glad we don't have to play the Skins/Eagles/Giants this weekend.

Give them another week of rest.

What legacy? He's an 8ish sack/year guy and I dont think has ever had one after week 10.

He's too soft and acts like a leader which IMO has hurt us year in and year out.

We aren't any worse off without him.

The Giants oline isnt very good? You already have very little credibility in my book with most of your takes but you just keep digging that hole.

I suggest you look up that not very good olines sack numbers and YPC average from last year.

The Gints are also one of the few teams out there with a DEEP Oline-Troy Aikman would always talk about how the coaching staff would constantly prepare their backups during the week for each game. Last year when the likes of Luke P, Shaun O'Hara, and K. MacKenzie got hurt, they still played very well.
