Anyone think he wasn't a big loss anymore?

The loss of Ellis was huge. We can't get any pressure on quarterbacks, and they are picking us apart (Brees, Vick, Garcia).

We aren't going anywhere with the way our defense is playing.

I don't think our secondary is a problem. In the NFL you can't allow a team to have 5 minutes to pass like we seem to have. We have 1 guy that can put pressure on you. D. Ware. When we had Ellis we had 2 guys that could do that and it opened so much of our defense because you couldn't double one guy.

Aside from Ware, we have nobody who can pressure the quarterback. Even when we blitz, we still can't get enough pressure. It's pathetic.

I think our biggest problem lately is we don't have Insider Linebackers who can cover the middle of the field.

Yeah, we miss Ellis a ton. There is just no pass rush. Teams can double Ware making it even worse.

That hurts too. A Dat Nguyen would be huge this year. Although I think James does good in coverage. We just have LBs outside of Ware(who is a part time end) that don't do anything for you in pass situations.

This off season we need to get either a DE that can rush the passer or get a LB that can rush the passer. We need as many guys to get to the QB as possible.

The pass rush was rather anemic before. Now, it's nonexistent.

Teams had a tough time moving the ball on our D to start the season. Now everyone moves it on us.

here's a team, Dallas, that has CONSISTENTLY spent HIGH DRAFT PICKS on defense - and THIS is what we get? sickening. color the Cowboys "one and done"... the most pitiful example of defense from a squad composed mostly of top choice guys.
