You can tell that Emmitt is actually studying Zeke and not just reading a script. I love it when ex-NFL commentators actually study the game and give educated opinions rather than the usual script readers who do no film study. Great vid!

You can tell how competitive Zeke is by his face before games and even when he is in a close game. The dude is a goofball but when the pressure is on, you can tell by just looking at his face that he is was born for these moments.

Emmitt's last comments were the best, Zeke rises to the occasion, he's not afraid of pressure or a big audience, he flourishes in it. He proved that in college and I personally feel that he took it up a notch after the Giants loss. Zeke ran with a different fire against the Bucs and Lions than at any point of the season.

Love the pride and passion in Emmitt's voice when he talks about Zeke, he's a proud pappy just like when Irvin talks about Dez. No trace of envy whatsoever, love this team, love all our players.

Gotta love the way Emmitt reads into Zeke's running style, as well as his mindset, just by observing him in action.

There's no question but what Emmitt Smith knows exactly what he's saying when analyzing Elliott's performance.

I have given Taylor much criticism over the years but this was excellent. Not sure how much of a role he played in getting this interview together but it's a wonderful effort on his part regardless. Informative. Educational. Entertaining. Pure awesomeness. THIS is the kind of video that's great in every way. And this--> is for Taylor. Thanks for posting @Sepia.

Smith was The Man when he played and he's still The Man now. A true legend who's watching what certainly appears to be a legendary career for Elliott blossom before his and our very eyes. Great stuff.

Contrasted to Eric " don't take my record " Dickerson....

Records are just that, a stepping stone for you and then someone else to reach. The Glory is getting to be one who " held it" not holds it forever...

I you have ever held one , in any endeavor, you already know that and see the pettiness of others who don't

Great stuff there. Emmitt is my all time favorite player. I was ecstatic when Dallas drafted him. As I knew he was the missing piece of offense that would help them get to the SB.
I felt the same way about Zeke coming into this draft. And why I posted on here so much they must draft Zeke. He will help us get to the SB, as drafting Zeke helped this team more than any other player in the draft.

this actually highlights the things that made emmitt great: not just great instincts, but taking away angles from the defense, falling forward, not heading out of bounds.

can you imagine emmitt 10-15 pounds heavier, with zeke's speed?
