Emmitt finished with 42 yards rushing and a score.
He is now 17 yards shy of 18,000 for his career.
Amazing.
I hate to say it but it was really nice. Showed good acceleration and balance. Go figure.Juke99 said:Hey, how good was Hambrick's long run??
In attempting to set a good example, I at least put my Emmitt thread in the proper forum.StarKist said:This is a surprize a thread about a former Cowboy who is actually good with only three replies, verses a thread about one the cowboys worst players in the history of the team QC, with 10.000 replies.

I was disappointed in their QB. Some of the decisions he made were very Quincy-esque. Anyway, the Cardinals are always good for a laugh.D.
I think they were lucky to be playing a team as inept as the Dolphins. At times Feeley looked like he could disect them. They played without emotion until the very end. I agree with you on the stroke of luck analogy. I think they got very lucky today.mr.jameswoods said:Hos
I watched that Cardinals game too. What was your take on it? I was disappointed in their QB. Some of the decisions he made were very Quincy-esque. Anyway, the Cardinals are always good for a laugh. Even when they win, it always looks like a stroke of luck or like some scrub team in the movies coming from behind and winning. I laughed myself silly when Duane Starks ran that INT for a TD.
I think his first move was pedestrian but the tackling was awful all day. Once he was free of the LOS it was obvious he was gone. I giv ehim credit. He wasn't on roller skates but he wasn't exactly great either.Juke99 said:Until last season, he always showed good acceleration and balance...ran hard...ran aggressively...
Did he make any moves, or just hit the hole and go?
Hostile said:Today on page 1 of the NFL Zone.
One of the greatest players ever to play for the Cowboys is having a good year, is nearing a milestone that would have once been thought unreachable, and with the fans merits only 1 thread in the NFL Zone here. Makes no difference that he exuded class and dignity and is probably one of the most respected players in NFL History.
10 threads about what the Jets backup QB is doing or could do if still here. 5 threads got merged into 1 or it would be more.
There aren't enough adjectives to describe how stupid this phenomenon is. It just defies logic.
I'd sticky this thread just so it has a longer life but why bother.
That is such a lame excuse it's not funny.Nors said:When he left he called the team,/players trash. He could have retired a Cowboy. So he's added 600 yards in two seasons in Arizona? The average Dallas fan is not interested as you noted.

Show me 10 threads TOTAL about any of these players, much less clogging up one whole page on the same day.
Hambrick
Ekuban
Edwards
Blade
Martin
Bryant
Hutchinson
Galloway
Collins
Cason
Stewart
All on the team last year, and all part of the 10-6 record and playoff trip whether people like them or not. After all this was a team effort. You yourself preach it. Don't run from it now and stick your head in the sand.
Hell's bells, there aren't 10 noticable threads about Darren Woodson and he's STILL on the team and his absence is so noteworthy it's not funny. Or hadn't you noticed?
Let me clue you in on one other thing. The average Dallas fan is not interested in what Carter is doing either. Emmitt was not smoking or snorting drugs to get himself dismissed form the team and he certainly was never just an average ball player. So don't give me any of that pious he insulted the team bullcrap and tell me that is the reason behind it. I was born at night, but it damn sure wasn't last night. In other words I'm not that damned gullible.
The reason is some people put too much faith in one person, can't accept the fact that he let his team down, and is gone. They want to live in the past rather than move on. Sad, but true.
I even saw YOU (and others) post on this forum that you hoped he won his grievance against the Cowboys for the way he was released. I have NEVER put love of one player above my love of the team. I find that utterly ridiculous. Rooting for the team to be punished or sanctioned. Judas Priest, how is that being a fan? That's like rooting for a loss or salary cap hell to happen.
I harbor the kid no ill will. I never did. I wish him luck. I hope he gets his act together. In fact I included him in a lot of prayers after his release. Ask Brownsugar abotu that because she and I discussed it.
The measure of his contribution to the team vs. Emmitt's is Janet Reno vs. Salma Hayek in a bikini contest.
So, take your sales job to someone else. I don't buy it.
I shouldn't do that to my friends. Could have been worse. I could have supplied a link.joseephuss said:Damn, why did you have to mention Salma Hayek in a bikini? Now I am going to be day dreaming the rest of the day and getting nothing done.
