Emmitt's mock

Zax, your heart is in the right place.

But most posters here will take potshots at the rich and famous and wealthy but rarely kids and those with diseases.
A few here have made fun of my head injury but, luckily, I don't understand their humor. Maybe as the rehab continues . . . . hey, have we traded Emmitt yet . . . .?

Yes, indeed.
And when they are rich and overpaid to take a legitimate announcer's job and that same person refers to himself as a "diamond" and then butchers the language as if he never saw a day in college, yes, FAIR GAME!!!

ESPN Analyst: "See any runnings backs beyond McFadden who could help the Cowboys?"
Emmitt: "Anyone which can run better is the one to watch."

Apparently, his Cowboy days are supposed to immunize him from any kind of criticism (measured or otherwise), earning him a "free pass for life." Not gonna happen. This is what Cosell meant by "jockacracy."

I thought it was funny. But then again, I also think it's funny that Florio and others will call out Emmitt for making mistakes live, yet make just as many on their sites when they have time to run it through the editor first.

These guys are harsh....but funny

I see it now. Thanks.

ESPN analyst: "Do you see any other running back who could go ahead of McFadden?

Emmitt: "Only if he go before McFadden."

best post in the entire thread....

Perhaps I am just being over sensitive as I work with mentally ********/handicapped children and if I am... than again I apologize.. but I still don't find it amusing in the least.

I hear you dude, but I don't see a problem when you know where to draw the line, obviously it's very wrong to make fun of mentally challenged people, but I dont' see the wrong in making fun of Emmitt Smith, it's not the same thing

maybe that head to the turf injury in Chicago damaged the grammatical portion of Emmitt's Brain

Nah. Emmitt is just poking fun at the mentally handicapped. It's the same thing as talking like a hair lip.

Lighten up dude. It's cultural and no big deal. Emmitt's a good guy. But I do understand and admire you for it.

Oh...

I didn't realize that making fun of other people's short comings was funny ...

What freakin' planet have you been living on? Of course it's funny. It's been a part of comedy since the first caveman laughed.

And I'm sure I'd find a few posts of you making a joke at someone's expense or laughing at a similiar type of joke if I really wanted to go through all your posts.

If I get bored enough, I'll do it.

I can tell ya where to search... search under Bledsoe

of course I tried to keep it to his performance and not about him as a person but you may be able to find one or two where I posted a picture of roadkill...

but see I didn't do it to be mean or funny... I did it as a critique of his play...

I would be surprised if you found one though where I tried to belittle someone to get a laugh...

As I never found that type of humor to be...well...humorous

though I can appreciate the artistic effort applied... though I am not sure why it could not be applied to a fictitious character and still be humorous to the masses...

and really if you were to find a past post of mine it wouldn't prove a point anyway as it is not how I am/feel today... it would be similar to me saying you are a bed wetter because you wet the bed once

now maybe one day I will wake up and hate everybody and everything and want to dehumanize people by calling them raghead, kraut, ****...perhaps I can laugh at the way they look, talk, act...but ya know Rack if I am seeking the Lord, I really hope I never do wake up to that day.

I hope it was all "tongue in cheek". Otherwise Emmitt is functionally illiterate.

It wasn't written by Emmitt at all.

I read these boards quite often and rarely post. Yet, I feel I have to comment on this... this quote is the most asinine apples to oranges comparison I've had the displeasure of reading in quite some time. Racial slurs have NOTHING to do with a parody of a public figure. There is NO reason to even bring them into the conversation. In fact, this poster should be banned for even having the nerve to post them. If I posted the N word or any other racial slur, I would hope to be banned. The words he posted are no different.
