Emmy Best Male Drama - Jeff Daniels of 'The Newsroom' wins

I'm shocked it didn't go to Bryan Cranston. The Newsroom is only in it's second season and had plenty of more years in which Daniels could've gotten his due.

He is awesome on that show.

Kelley Dixon(editing) and Anna Gunn(best supporting actress), and the show itself(Best drama) did win. Cranston has 3 best actor in a drama emmys. The real question is why did they give it to Daniels when Jon Hamm still has 0 wins for best actor for Mad Men. Daniels is good in The Newsroom for sure, but still.

The emmys are just going to do a Lord of the Rings with the final 8 episodes of BB anyway. I guarantee next year it takes best drama, best actor, best supporting actor(Paul or Norris could win this one), probably best supporting actress(but the new season of American Horror Story could steal this one depending on how Lange/Sidibe/etc's parts are).

The emmys are awful anyway, as most award shows are. The fact that Jim Parsons keeps winning for Big Bang Theory tells you everything you need to know.
