Even if the Cowboys don't end up signing Kennedy, I'm glad to see Jerry and Bill leaving no stone unturned as they try to upgrade the team.

Fans of most other teams aren't so fortunate ....

If it is a warm body and can spell OL then it will help us!

I dont know if he's warm, but I know he's fat

really cant see how somebody that weighs that much and hasnt played in two yrs can help to be quite honest...if he CAN help then it says what a truly sad shape our OL is in

I dont think you know what your talking about.

Hes probably been playing football since he was 12. Hes now 33 ( which isn't old for an OL) and only been out of the league for 2 seasons. Did he just forget how to play?

If hes in shape then yes he could help this team because only 2 years ago he was one of the best offensive tackles in the league and one hell of a pass blocker.

He's 35. And he's 380. He buys his clothes at the Coleman tent store. And it's actually been 3 years since he played. It's a long long shot.

I never post a simple, "I agree", or "thanks", and I've never posted something as simple as, "that's funny right there," but I laughed out loud at that one, so for the first time I'll just say, "that's funny right there!"

I dont think you know what your talking about.

I KNOW you don't know what you are talking about when you say he's 33. he is 35, born 2/12/71.

That really doesn't matter, a lot of lineman have played very well into their mid to late thirties, heel a couple even into their 40's.

If hes in shape then yes he could help this team because only 2 years ago he was one of the best offensive tackles in the league and one hell of a pass blocker.

Well, the latest report said he was "down" to 380. That would mean at the very least he needs to lose 25-30 lbs. That is doable with training camp just underway. And it depends on whether you are looking at him for depth or to compete to start. I would not mind him for depth, because the reports on Fabini are less than inspiring. With Flozell not 100% and Colombo a risk with his bad knees, I think we are going to have to keep 4 tackles, although Kosar could play tackle in a pinch. He was playing at a very high level when he retired.

With 4 tackles, would mean we keep Gurode, Johnson, Rivera, Kosier and....

Peterman, Procter, McQuistan, Tarullo?

He last played in the 2003 season. He missed 2004 and 2005. That is two years.

And a 33, or 35 according to Cowpoke, year old with less wear and tear after a two year vacation. Lincoln could turn out to be a good find for us. Trying him out can't hurt anything anyway.

I usually tend to think of myself as cynical and pessimistic.

However, I think I must be downright sunny compared to you. :D
