IRVING, Texas – Last week the St. Louis Rams offered up at $100,000 prize if somebody can correctly predict their 2014 schedule, complete with day and time. We will offer up no such prize if you can correctly predict the Dallas Cowboys’ schedule, but feel free to post yours in the comments section. I’m giving you my best guess as the NFL comes close to finalizing the schedule this week. Sept. 8 at New York Giants -- I pondered them opening the year at the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, but thought better of it.

Sept. 7 at New York Giants -- I pondered them opening the year at the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, but thought better of it.

Sept. 15 vs. Houston Texans -- The Rangers are home on Sept. 14, so to avoid congestion, let’s make this a "Monday Night Football" matchup for ESPN.

Sept. 21 at Seattle Seahawks -- With the trip to London later, the Cowboys are able to have their long travel games spread out.

Sept. 28 vs. Arizona -- Seems about the right time to bring in the Cardinals, but could they be a Thanksgiving Day possibility?

Oct. 5 at Tennessee Titans -- First trip to Nashville since Albert Haynesworth stomped on Andre Gurode’s head.

Oct. 12 vs. Philadelphia Eagles -- The Cowboys get their first crack at the Eagles to avenge last year’s Week 17 loss.

Oct. 19 vs. Washington Commanders -- Jason Hatcher’s return to AT&T Stadium, though I think this game will be more about Robert Griffin III.

I'd rather they not play any division teams on opening night.

They're going to have to play them eventually...doesn't really matter when to me...

If this team is playoff material, then they should be ready every week, regardless of when and where they're playing.

It's not about playing them eventually.. It's really about wanting to get excited about them playing a new opponent on opening night.

I understand, although unless it's against a divisional opponent I can't see the Cowboys playing on Sunday Night Football.

They do have marquee matchups with the 49ers, Seahawks, etc. but I'm willing to bet the 49ers and Seahawks are the opening game of the season and one of those two will be our Thanksgiving opponent.

I'm okay if they're not playing on SNF. Actually, I'd prefer it. They haven't been too successful lately on Sunday nights. A 3p start would be perfect.

I really hope the team doesn't play NY opening night again. Pretty played out if you ask me.

Yes, this has happened way too often in the past 4 years. I can see a Commanders game, with them having a new coach. Maybe even a Philly game. But I bet that will be more of a last game of the year again thing.
I doubt we get a home opener and closer again though. I can see at Commanders to open, at Eagles to close.

We play at Seattle, so that won't be the T-day game.

49ers could be a good possibility though. However I think FOX will want that as a late Sunday game though. Or a NBC flex SNF game later in the year.

Yeah right. We all know damn well we're going @ Seattle and then @ Jacksonville/London in back to back weeks.

It's the NFL way. Along with the bye week either in Week 4 or in like Week 14.

Our bye week will be after the London game.
Any team playing in London will get their bye week after. That has already been announced.

So here is the question, good or bad.....we play November 9th in London, get a bye week on the 16th. Play on the 23rd, rather home or away.
Then play T-day on the 27th, then next game on December 7th.

So a game, 2 weeks off, a game, 3 days and another game, 10 days off, then a game. So 3 games in what 28 days. So is that a good rest for a playoff run or too much time between games?

Sounds like a perfect receipe for getting some bodies healthy for a December playoff run.

That schedule of Archer's would be a very tough stretch run. Saints, at Eagles, Niners, at Washington, NYG.

Id like a noon or 3 game vs a non divisonal team or even a non conference team.

With that scedule I have us going 5-3 the 1st hald and 3 and 5 the 2nd half. That stretch I would have us at 1-4

Wasn't that how it was last year?
