Q:Adam, is Jason Garrett definitely gone after this season after that collapse on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers?-- Kevin (West Virginia)
A: Let's put it another way, Kevin. If the Cowboys don't win the division, it's difficult to envision Jerry Jones bringing back Garrett after this season. This team has had some epic collapses, the most recent and painful of which came Sunday, when the Cowboys threw the ball in the second half more than they ran it against the Packers, who were trailing 26-3 at one point. Dallas has been mired in mediocrity, and it's hardly all Garrett's fault. But this team cannot lose a game like it did on Sunday -- and have another .500 season for which it's on pace -- and not have some sort of scapegoat. As is, it's hard to imagine that defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin will be back as the architect of a defense that's as bad as any in the league. But it's fair to say here that in the Cowboys' final two games, Garrett's job is on the line.
