It looks like the knee surgery robbed him of whatever explosiveness he once had.

This team sorely needs pass rushers.

I don't agree with this. He has good burst going upfield. His technique in knocking away the hands and footwork out of a 3 point stance in't there though The timing is off and OT can recover before he can dip past. And he chased down and tackled Russell Wilson in a short area which is no mean feat.

Now he at times has looked slow but that inconsistency is not unusual from a guy post op like that. This isn't a structural issue like a ligament. His knee was never torqued out of alignment and reconstructed. He had a chunk of cartilage missing behind his knee cap and it was causing his knee to swell.

If he cannot convert to RDE then I don't see the point in retaining him at anything more than a few mil. His best position is SOLB in a 3-4. He is really really good at stacking blockers out of a 2 point stance. The lower drive of 3 point stance is still a work in progress.

I don't see the point in retaining him at any price, much less a few mil. We can have anybody out there getting 0.5 sacks. This team needs both money available for next year and someone capable of rushing the passer. And neither need bodes well for a Spencer return.

If he signs for $3m I do it but that is my ceiling. Saying you wouldn't sign him at any price just seems emotional.

IRVING, Texas -- With George Selvie slowed by a thumb injury, Anthony Spencer could make his first start since 2012. Spencer has played in nine straight games in a reserve role after missing the first three contests as he worked his way back from microfracture knee surgery that limited him to just one game last season. Spencer has yet to start a game at defensive end in his career with the Dallas Cowboys using him as an outside linebacker in their 3-4 scheme from 2007-12.

Have been hoping he would improve but it just seems like he's not even close to same player he used to be. No burst and you can tell he's still conscious of the injury which is understandable. Wish dallas would've let Sam show what he had on game day. I'm certain the gay thing is what's keeping him off squads. Teams can try and be pc but we all know he's better then anything Dallas has lined up at de this yr.

My stance comes from what I'm seeing on the field. That being insufficient pass rush. I wouldn't be interested in giving $3 million to a player contributing to a woeful pass rush and one who has given me only half a sack.

Does that mean he will have less time for laughing on the sideline while his team is losing?

Please hop on my Greg Hardy bandwagon. How often do you get to steal an all pro type player who's still young at a premium position.

Yes, I've mentioned Hardy also. I think he is the best Free Agent DE. I have no idea how much his legal issues will affect his price if at all, but with or without the legal issues Carolina has already franchised him once. I don't think they will do it again.

I think that Anthony Spencer is finally at the point of coming back, that the team will start to see if he indeed, has a long term potential, now.

Double check that you had enough Corn Flake box tops included...and get the decoder ring instead.

I had the same problem once...but alas, I made it to the second grade.

By the way: What animal was Master Shifu from “Kung ** Panda”?
