I rewatched the New England vs Washington game last night on NFLN and Taylor was exposed time and again, but one number that showed up all over the field was #30. I would take him any day of the week.

By the gods, when is everyone gonna wake up and realize that Roy Williams has declined into one of the worst starters on this team?

It is obvious he lacks the drive and desire to be one of the game's best.

It shows on the field that the only thing he does in the film room is grab a nap, because a good percentage of the time he is clueless out there.

I don't think Mort should be bashed for his comments, but I wish he would've posted something new. At this point, Roy's struggle in coverage is well known, so what else is he deficient at that would prevent him from being a top SS in the league?

Him missing his "gap" responsibilities in the running game is something new. I would actually like to hear more about that, rather than the same rinse/repeat comments about his coverage issues. Since the running game is pretty solid, I wonder what the argument would be in regards to that.

I don't recall him havnig gap issues, but maybe he has missed some. My issue with Roy and his SS duties is him not wraping up tackles. He is starting to look like Sean Taylor out there hitting people, but not actually making the tackle.

It is what it is. I don't think that the lable will disappear until Roy plays at a high level (coverage) consistantly. That's what it will take. At the end of the day, there are only so many answers to the same question and I think that's what we are seeing. I hope you do ask that question because I too would be interested in the answer.

As for the Candy, I've got a whole bucket waiting for you. You just have to get to Albuquerque before my kinds find it.

I hate Taylor, but from everything I've read, he's actually have the best season of his career, and every time I see them on TV he's making a huge difference with int's, caused fumbles, etc.

They don't play the same position, but I'd trade Roy for Taylor or Roy for Landry, who is playing his position, but isn't having a great rookie year in coverage...yet.

Roy is definitely way way way over rated, imo, but I'll also say that under Wade's protection (not hanging him out in coverage that he can't execute), he's having his best year in the past 3....again, my opinion.

I just remember seeing #30 showing up all over the field making tackles. He might have gotten abused in coverage, I wasn't watching that close.

You mean those same int's that Roy gets when the ball is thrown right at him and Cowboy fans scoff at them and say they dont count? Because thats all i've seen Taylor do. Go look at all of his interceptions this year. Stop reading Commanders box scores and watching bits and pieces of Commanders games. If you are gonna compare and contrast try watching a full Commander game.

gee, wonder why the bolded doesnt apply for RW? He's only one of the top 2 or 3 safeties in football the past 5yrs in negative plays and turnovers forced...yet he doesnt get credit for it here by the bonehead club

and you are out of your mind on Landry for RW...maybe some day, but Landry isnt making mcuh, if any impact there in Washington...certainly not enough to warrant being a top-10 pick so far
