Why would anyone ever give this information out on a Tuesday??? Even if you know your not going to play, you don't say it on Tuesday....Make it a GTD, and then shut up about it...This is either smoke or very dumb....Considering it's Carter, I'm leaning towards dumb, but I hope I'm wrong...

i fear this is going to be a year long kind of thing, play a game, miss a game routine. you don't get 100% healthy during the season.

Would rather have him for the long haul, stretch run. Even though a conference game, rather have him to help win division games.
Even if we lose Sunday, it may not be because Carter isn't in there.
This is where any depth or players can step up, show they belong in the NFL, which I think they have been doing. Hitchens has played well.

Exactly, we need to get our LB's healthy. If it means one more week for Carter and or McClain - do it. We need them long term to be playing together. On a side note, was disappointed to hear yesterday that if indeed we do sign McClain to a multi-year deal. That would probably mean no Bruce Carter - too much money tied up. That's a bummer ! I think Carter has finally found his home at Strong side LB and would love to be able to keep him with McClain in the center and Lee on the weak side. Hitchens as first off the bench, maybe Toomer by next year, and man I like the sound of that ! Shame it comes down to money, as always. Find a way Jerry, find a way !

This sucks. We need speed out there to handle Harvin, and Wilson.

If McClain is out we have NO shot at this one.

There is a small shot but it falls primarily in the hands of the offense and, secondarily, the STs. The defense (without McClain and Carter) will do well enough to survive the onslaught that awaits them.
