IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys defensive end Edgar Jones will not be activated off the injured reserve/designated to return list this week, but he could return to game action Dec. 15 against the Green Bay Packers. Jones was placed on the short-term IR list Oct. 18 after after undergoing sports hernia surgery. Jones has stepped up his rehab in recent weeks, but the Cowboys can be patient with his return. The team has three weeks to activate him off the list and two weeks before they would have to put him on the 53-man roster.
