I am just about ready to move on without him. He isn't interested in taking a pay cut... to hell with getting paid a ton the last two years and not giving the team much return on their investment.

Maybe I'm not being fair. Maybe I'm simply ready for a change.

I don't know, it just that as a fan, I'm kind of ready to let the older, high priced vets go and get some new blood on that Dallas defense. Draft heavy on defense, get a free agent or two over there, let Ware, Spencer, and Hatcher find a new home, and move on with new, hungry guys who are full of piss and vinegar.

I mean, the defense can't get any worse than 32nd anyway. Might as well be young and cheap and go from there.

I have questions as to why the wait to do it but I'm just going to see how this goes. Ware has more than earned a benefit of the doubt from me.

I certainly do understand those who want to move on from him because of age and having such a down year last year. I don't think anyone is wrong to feel that way. I personally believe he's going to rebound nicely this year. And I realise that could just be me on that.

It didn't irritate him enough not to be skiing the slopes with his buddies. Cut him. He's been part of the 2 worst defenses the cowboys have put on the field the past 2 years. He hasn't helped that much. Not like we are losing leadership

Yeah- what's up with that?
Elbow that needs surgery and he's skiing?

No Bueno my friends.
No bueno todos.

He should be able to go thru most of the offseason. might hold him out of the early OTAs

Maybe so...
Not the point.
This guy gets hurts in-season the last two seasons at least.
Then puts off surgery so he can "relax" and ski?
He's in the most physical profession out there and he's needed to be 100%.
He's not 21 anymore. He needs to get right and then get healed before 300 lb'ers are slamming on him play after play.

I just don't like his mindset. Seems too nonchalant to me.

I truly do hope I'm wrong, but I think I'm not.

If I remember these last two seasons correctly...It wasn't Ware's elbow that was causing him to run right past running backs and QB's on a regular basis. Thank you Demarcus for helping this team make it to a couple of playoff games but your asking price to remain on this team is about 7 mill more than you are worth. Time to bring in a much hungrier and possibly starving group of guys. You have as much to do with 8-8 as anyone else on this team. We have no business being anywhere near the cap with the group of underachievers on this team.

Normally I would agree that any angst from fans was excessive but considering it was reported just last week that Ware was healthy, I'd say something smells.

Reality might be on to something given Ware's surprising news.

Did Ware report that himself or was it the media? Because unless Ware came out and said he was ok, then I don't think you have much reason to call him out.

I have to shake my head at those who question a person's decision when it comes to his own body. Surgery is serious no matter what you're operating on and if someone (whether they be your neighbor or a famous football star) wants to take the time to explore other avenues of treatment WE HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER.

I have a condition that has forced me to miss 5 months of work over the last 2 years. Surgery is an option but it has it's own share of risks so I've gone with the medication approach to see if I can avoid it.

The man obviously wanted to see if the injury could be dealt with without having to go under the knife and more power to him. Just because he makes more money than some on here think he should or the average American seems to think surgery is ho hum simple when it's someone else going under the knife is beside the point.

He's getting the surgery. He'll be back for camp. He'll be a Dallas Cowboy come September. Time to move on from this Ware crap already.

At this point, I'm hoping Ware is some other team's worry and concern now. He played well when he was young and healthy but it is time to move on and I wish him no ill will.

My guess is that Ware was going to try to go without surgery and remain a Cowboy with a restructure of his contract. I'm thinking the Cowboys recently gave him a pay cut ultimatum and Ware said no. So, I think Ware will get cut and he now wants to get as healthy as he can, as soon as he can, for free agency.

I have no problem with him letting it rest to see if it heals. The problem I have is skiing the slopes isn't giving it rest. He put it off last year with rest and it didn't work either.

Good lord. This guy has played with the injury for two years but fans are up in arms because he waited a whole two weeks after the a Super Bowl to get surgery....

Please take this time to get a grip.

Again he said he was waiting to see if it healed with rest. How is skiing given it rest?

Lol yep ware had to go on a alpine skiing vacation before he got his elbow surgery

Cmon now, Ware would not have been able to go skiing if he got the surgery. After he recovered, the snow would have been melted!

Seriously, at least he is getting it done now and I hear it is a 4-5 week recovery is all.

The guy gets one more year of patience

IMO.

His presence doesn't stop me from from signing and drafting a DE.

His contract will be restructured and after the 2014 season ends that's when I move.

And the same probably goes for Witten.

May I repeat Good Lord....

Did you happen to see him tearing down the slopes...? Was he the reason Shaun White only finished 4th?

I have been too ski lodges and never put on a ski. If he not allowed to go outside? Is making a snow man out?

I know I am a maverick with wild ideas but how about we wait and see if he even misses one practice before freaking out. It is February....

There should be plans in the works to replace both guys and every player over 30.
That probably was why Escobar was selected last year.
I'd gladly draft a Ware replacement high because he can rotate in immediately.
But I would also give him another year before writing him off.

Funny how it comes out that there's a 50/50 chance Ware gets cuts and suddenly, surgery is something he needs. Guess skipping training camp next season after delaying surgery until then doesn't look so appealing when he might be looking for another team.

I like Ware a lot, but this just wreaks of wrong. If he needed surgery, he should have already taken care of it so he would have longer to recover and also deal with any issues that could possibly pop up over it.

#REALITY

I called him out for this in the other thread. These are our leaders folks.

Ware had this same mindset when he was getting 20 sacks a yr. You liked it then
