News: ESPN: Ex-(Cowboys)-QB Mark Sanchez arrested, faces three possible charges

I'm wondering if Sanchez has a troubled home life. Seems like a perfect storm almost that set him off. Maybe street drugs mixed with OTC, prescription. Mix in alcohol and there you go. I say that because it would seem like we would have known about this pattern of behavior before now. Seems like an isolated ordeal. The man ruined his life and damn near killed a man. This is bizarre.

Former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports broadcaster Mark Sanchez was arrested by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on Saturday and is facing three misdemeanor charges in relation to an incident where he was stabbed and taken to a hospital.
The IMPD said Sanchez was arrested at the hospital on suspicion of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication. No further individuals are being sought by detectives. The Marion County Prosecutor's Office will make the final charging decision, the IMPD said.

I added the obligatory "(Cowboys)" to the thread title because it's obvious the editor forgot ... :D
I just read a new article that Sanchez got a big part in the new movie “ Now you see me, Now you don’t “. LOL!

You got details?
You’re right. That elderly man may have beat up himself. Or, maybe, someone that looks like Sanchez beat up the old man, ran off, and Sanchez, who was doing wind sprints in that same alley after midnight, got stabbed so police only think he was involved. Nothing but wrong place at the wrong time.

I’m sure he’s a victim of circumstance. This is an outrage. That old man should be arrested. Because he was never an NFL player.

I think that he is innocent. He's an athlete, and they are all innocent to us hero worshipers. I bet the old guy thought he was about to pass out and was going to rob him. The old man keeps beating his face against Sanchez's hands, trying to hurt him.

I've learned a very long time ago that when traveling for work and being in a large city you may or may not be familiar with, that it's always best to be back at the hotel your staying at by 9PM and NEVER leave the hotel after that. Worst case, if you're going to tie one on, just stay at the hotel bar and always call it a night by midnight.

I've seen a lot of grown married men act like kids at recess when "out of town" for work and get themselves into trouble.

So true. Best post of the week

He had a sexual assault charge in college as well as some type of alcohol offense.

Alcohol causes three times more deaths than all other drugs combined and is the third leading cause of preventable death in the USA.

It is ethanol, which is actual poison, and it destroys more families than any other substance or behavior.

You don’t need to mix in some other government condemned drug when the most economically embedded drug in the USA can be bought in every store.

Alcohol, the legal drug that pays hundreds of millions of dollars to lobbyists and to the state and federal governments, is more than enough to destroy lives all by itself.

Holy crap! That’s horrible. So let me get this straight. A 40 year old former NFL player beat up a 69 year old! Wow! Mark is not a good person. Mark got what he deserved and I hope he goes to jail for a long time. Alcohol is no excuse. Those pictures are pretty gruesome. That’s bad stuff right there. Very disappointed in Sanchez and I hope the family of the victim sues the snot out of him and Mark faces jail time.

Well said. Excellent post. I've never seen two guys buzzing from weed in a fist fight. Yet it get demonized while the devil's brew is readily available in every store across America.

I think everyone needs to reserve judgement until the whole story is told. Something just doesn’t add up about the way this incident has been reported.
Agree.

Dude gets stabbed then charged?

Lots of crazy people on the streets at night.

He shouldn’t have been out late by himself.

Rich people are also a target for law suits.

Protect yourself.

He’s lucky to be alive.

Too bad Torchys Tacos took Dirty Sanchez off the menu.

So Sanchez picked on and tried to bully an food delivery guy.... that dude is a straight coward and got EXACTLY what he deserved. He's lucky he didn't run up on the RIGHT one, with a different type of tool to use instead of a knife.

I have zero respect for cowards. I hope the police lock Sanchez's punk *** up straight from his hospital bed.
People are crazy on the streets.

I knew a utility work that was attacked in broad daylight by a crazy with a handgun.

Best thing he can do is be quiet and lawyer up.

He will be sued for $$$ and his name will be dragged through the mud.

Let's be honest. There are only a few brave people in society that will stand up to the scourge that is replaced fryer oil. Who wants their chicken fingers and french fries to be ruined by the lack of leftover breading bits normally found in a well-seasoned vat of Crisco? You definitely need to be in top cardio shape to do the job. The fact that he was willing to burn the midnight oil, on a broadcasting business trip, just goes to show you how dedicated he is. The alcohol was surely to help him deal with the impending abdomen pain, much like guys in the Wild West would take a big belt of whiskey just before having a bullet removed. I think it's likely that the NFL has a moment of silence before games this week to honor Mark Sanchez, American hero.

Amen my friend. You correctly nailed it with the facts. I can't argue with anything you said. What's weird is, why did he wig out now, after all these years in between incidents? Or have their been other things he has done but they been shoved under the carpet? It's just odd to me. What was the final straw?
