News: ESPN: Ex-(Cowboys)-QB Mark Sanchez arrested, faces three possible charges

Anyway you cut it, video evidence corroborates what the 69 year old mad said what happened.

When the police interview you (after having stab wounds on yourself in the hospital) and you're best defense is "I don't remember what happened", good lawyer is going to be expensive, and the bottom line is how much are you going to pay out.

If I'm the 69 year old man, I wouldn't care if Sanchez spends a day in jail or not, but what I would want is a payout so big, I wouldn't have to work for money another day in my life.

Being the guy is 69 and was driving a truck working 3rd shift, got to respect a man for doing the job that sucks to earn money.. Hope he gets paid big...

Needless to say, I'd be surprised if Sanchez has a job in front of TV anymore. Not certain how you can spin any of this story to make people feel sorry for Sanchez.
Old man just hit the lotto.

I know that video exists because it’s what the prosecutors used to charge him, but I haven’t seen it. Can you post the link? All I’ve seen is him walking away after being stabbed but nothing on the actual attack.

Thanks ahead of time.
Apologies, I have not seen the video, but what I do know is that the police have stated that what video evidence they have seen, it basically corroborates what the 69 year old driver stated.

Reality is in situation like that with the adrenaline running, you may not remember every single detail, but the impression was pretty much what the 69 year old stated is what they saw on the video.

The issue is from what I have read was that Sanchez wasn't very co-operative, and if the only thing you can tell the police is "I don't remember what happened", you're going to need a pretty good defense attorney. No doubt some money will be spent by Sanchez for a decent lawyer.

I would think that blood was drawn from Sanchez when he was in the hospital, and I'm no lawyer, but I would think they would check his blood for alcohol and drugs. That said, if you can't remember what you did that night, either you had a lot to drink or were on something, or you're lying and don't want to admit what you did.

I would agree. If I'm Sanchez, I'm settling out of court as fast as possible for an undisclosed sum, and I'm thinking it would be a boat load...

Thing is Sanchez will lucky to be able to get a job after this.

The irony is if this 69 year old driver would have came across a simple thug, he'd get nothing. One could argue in a ironic way if he's going to go through the pain and hospitalization, he was lucky it was Sanchez.

How many times he stab Sanchez?

That's the way I now understand it.

What I want to know is how did the truck driver get stabbed in the face? I've seen reports and images of a stab wound to the face.
Maybe because one person played in the NFL ten years ago and the other went in for his mandatory colonoscopy 20 years ago.

He could have fallen on the knife.

Either way, once you stab the other person in the chest, anything goes in a knife fight.

odd that the driver didnt get charged for it.

Guess you are allowed to stab.
Odd? He was attacked by Sanchez. Prosecutors have video.

Sad but true.

Who owned the knife? and the Pepper Spray?

Dude seemed ready for action.

The dude with the nice clothes and the hair cut?

Lots of crazy people on the streets at night.

I don't know what it's like in Texas, but in North Carolina, most guys I know carry a gun. My total county population? 30,000 LOL

If I'm 69 years old and I'm working late at night in a urban environment, darn well tooting I'm carrying something. That said, I'm too old to fight, thus why I carry a gun.

No settling out court with felony charges. Only can make a plea deal if offered.

Sanchez apparently was one of them.

Yeah I saw where Jose Biaz or whatever his name is said that things don;'t add up in this incident. He said that someone could have spiked Marks drink while at the bar and caused this...lol I am interested to see the video...

I was only referring to the inevitable civil litigation to follow.

Reality is given this is Sanchez's first run in with the law I'm guessing in a long time, he might have beat the crap out of the guy, but inevitably it will be pleaded down to move the case along.

No lawyer, but I bet he can sue the hotel too, and the network Sanchez worked for. If the driver was still working because he had too, those days are certainly over.
You can sue whoever you want, but I'm guessing the hotel is at the bottom of the feeder for numerous reasons. If Sanchez was staying at that hotel, it was most likely on behalf of his employer (I don't know that for a fact, but it would make sense that they booked the hotel on behalf of Sanchez).

That said, also understand that with legal matters, sometimes you can throw common sense out the window...

Yeah he’s also suing Fox.

You didn’t see the driver in the hospital with a slashed face? You think he did that to himself or something?
Is this a serious comment?!?! SMH.

My comment right before this was asking about that cut!
