The Cowboys can begin the process of franchising prospective free agents Monday and there's only one worth doing: Defensive tackle Jason Hatcher. But team officials aren't trying to do that at this stage because of a lack of salary-cap space. The team is projected to be $20 million to $25 million over. Hatcher is coming off a Pro Bowl season in which he had a career-high 11 sacks, but given his age -- turns 32 in July-- and the need to get younger, the Cowboys will let him test the market.
