Are you serious? How does losing help this organization? I take it that you have never played in any kind of competition? the object of any kind of competition is to win, am I right or am I wrong? If I am wrong please tell me so. I do not understand you younger generation, I tell my son all the time I hated and I still hate to lose at anything and that anyone that is okay with losing is a loser and they will never win in life there is no such thing as a good loser, or a good loss. That kind of thinking is the most idiotic thinking that I have ever heard. This country was made great by people that hated to lose.

Sometimes you have to lose the battle in order to win the war.

The military refers to this as a "strategic loss".

So yes, you are wrong if you think there is never a reason to lose.

There is never a reason for the players, coaches, or GM to lose on purpose. However, there is no doubt that one bad year has sprung a bright future for some teams. Indianapolis comes to mind. When Payton was injured, they gained Luck. Of coarse, not every team is so lucky (excuse the pun). Top 10 draft busts happen all the time.

No, we do not need to lose the last two games. Why would you say that? We should never want to lose any games, I do not care if we have not won any games up to now, I would not want to lose the last. That is ridiculous to me, a loser mentality does that kind of stuff

Or someone who thinks more long-term...

Do you think the Colts are glad they lost so many games when Peyton Manning went down, thus allowing them to get Andrew Luck?

it's not. Never has been and never will be frankly. Just something fans say to justify going into the fetal position and tanking games for a higher draft pick.

You don't think the Colts are glad they had the worst record, and because of that, they were able to draft their franchise quarterback that will potentially lead their team for 15-20 years?

That's an interesting opinion you have, but I sure am glad the Cowboys had the number one overall pick and were able to draft Troy Aikman.
