I dont agree with alot of what Romo says, but when he said J Witten may be the greatest Cowboys player of all time. I agreed.

I went to the playoff game against Detriot. My first Cowboys game in over a decade. The amount of people wearing 82 jerseys made me "notice it". Witten is a Dallas Cowboy forever.....no way he goes somewhere else. They wont let him.

What in the world don't you agree with what Tony says? Very seldom do I even remember what players say anyhow.

its more of a general sense of what he is saying. Sometimes he talks as if he has won a Super Bowl and he is explaining how its done.....

having said that, I genuinely like Tony. And if I were put in the same spotlight and gushed over, like he is, I might even be worse. Tony , imho , should make the HOF. regardless of the post season success. He is that good. Its unfortunate he has been playing for a losing franchise. But, he is the franchise, and plays that part. So, imho, he should also take a great deal of the blame.

As far as specific things I disagree with? Well, the "See ya in the Super Bowl, talk". Not only to brady, but when he speaks/engagements etc etc...... He shouldnt even be mentioning Super Bowl. or anything close to it. How about you win the division( a horrible one at that) in a consistent manner first?

And he also says , and others say this too, that "what you did last year, has no influence on what you do the following year....." I totally disagree with that train of thought. These teams build off momentum and when they get it, do everything they can to keep it. Most of the time it takes a few years of knocking on the door, playing the better teams competively, and mixing a few things up here and there, but always seemingly to move forward...... It does matter.

some other things throughout the years...... but for the most part..... Tony comes across as almost "cocky" to me. When the fact remains, HE , no matter what the circumstances, hasnt been able to take his team, no matter what the circumstances, to an NFCCG. Not one...................

he cant say what it is like to play in a Championship game or Super Bowl, becuase he has never done it.

I won't argue with either of you, but if anybody else deserves the moniker "Mr. Cowboy", it's #82. No hold-outs, no complaints, no excuses. Ultimate team player.

No doubt Jason is a ridiculously good dude.

But if we're talking GOATS...theres only one cowboy that is statistically an actual GOAT...ES!

good point. but something about a TE making into the conversation of "greatest player of all time", says a lot about J Witten....

BUt yeah, E. Smith is the greatest. Dont think that can really be argued against....although if I had more time, I would try....

I think Staubach has a case as the greatest ever.....beating E. Smith. Just becuase of "timing"

Bob Lily was the greatest

yeah, I mean its all subjective I think. How do we define "Greatest" ? Is it just stats? Does post season success play into the decision of "Greatest" ? What exactly are we measuring to define "Greatness". :)

Bob was before my time, I didnt get to see him play, only highlights. I love his interviews though......some of things that what on between him and schramm and those early years are hilarious....:)

to me, its Roger. I grew up wanting to be Roger..... But I would submit to E. Smith too....More yards then anybody in the history of the league and some super bowl rings......... thats hard to beat!!!

Witten's career reminds me of Don Mattingly's. An annual All Star, fan favorite, and someone that you would love to see and deserves nothing better than to be on at least one Championship team but their careers are between them.
Hopefully next year.

GOATs-we have to many- Lilly, Staubach, Emmitt, Dorsett, White, Martin, Aikman, Irvin, Haley
