Charlie (Eielson, Alaska): If you were John Fox who would you start.. David Carr or Jake Delhomme?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Delhomme. He's the incumbent. He's the man who's helped turn that club around. It's his job until he proves otherwise.

Nicholas Peiffer (Highland Park, Illinois): With the Eagles taking Kolb in the draft do you believe McNabb should look to be traded and if yes, where? the Bears? Can McNabb take the Bears to victory like Grossman couldn't?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: I don't think McNabb is going anywhere. He has to find a way to stay healthy but he'll finish his career with the Eagles. He's meant to much that franchise and that city.

Patrick LeMay Woodstock, Georgia: I think that Michael Vick is way over reted. Do You Agree?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Yes. He's still a star because of his potential not because of his performance. This will be a big year for him to show some major improvement because once he get older -- and his speed starts to diminish -- he's going to be a very ineffective quarterback.

Jeff (Pittsburgh): Who do you see as the breakout player this season for the Steelers (offense and defense)?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: I see Heath Miller becoming one of the league's top tight ends. I keep hearing they want to get him more involved in that offense. On defense, I wouldn't be surprised if one of those rookies -- Woodley or Timmons -- really enjoys a strong year. Tomlin will do some interesting things with that defense to keep his pass rushers fresh.

Steve Vienna, Va: Hey Jeffri! What are your thoughts on Jason Campbell? The reports from Commanders camp is he looks great! I think he will become an elite QB in this league

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Having Ladell Betts and Clinton Portis in the backfield is going to help him a lot. The offense that Al Saunders runs can be pretty hard for a young guy to pick up if the running game isn't consistent. But when it is -- and this is the same system that has worked in Dallas in the early 90's along with St. Louis and Kansas City this decade -- it can be potent. They'll be better and so will Campbell.

Andre kansa city, kansas: Why do you think it?s so hard for someone making millions to choose between strip clubs and their occupation?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Because Pacman is immature. I've said this many times before, I don't know why more of these guys just don't throw private parties and invite the girls to their place. Ray Lewis does it now and I hear his security is tighter than what you'd find at the Pentagon. It's just a smarter way to handle your social life and many of these guys have the money to do it.

Greg (Denver, CO): What is your take on Gallery? Is he a bust or will a return to zone blocking, a better offensive system, and a superior OL coach help him return to the form he showed coming out of Iowa?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Gallery's problem is confidence. He's bounced around so much that he's forgotten how good he once was. If I were Oakland, I'd put him back on the right side and accept that he'd be one of the highest-picked right tackles in history. I don't see him turning this around at LT.

Raj, Denver: In your opinion, which current coaches other Bill Belichik have a chance to go to hof?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Shanahan for sure. Two Super Bowl rings makes a strong case for him. Holmgren has a good shot, too. He's turned around two franchises and led them to Super Bowls. Though Cowher is retired for now, I'd put him on that list as well.

John(Chicago): Do you think Lance Briggs and Asante Samuel will hold out until the 10th week of the season or are they bluffing?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: I think Briggs will be back for the start of the season. His teammates tell me he loves playing football too much and he'll miss being around them. I don't know Samuel as well but I'd imagine he can't like his odds. At some point, both players have to accept that their teams have most of the leverage in these situations.

Bevan (Utah): Jeffri, Who do you think gets the bulk of the carries in Minnesota, Taylor or AP?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: My guess is they'll start with Taylor as the main guy and move Peterson in as the season progresses. It's the same strategy that worked in Indy with Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes and it makes sense. hyou show the older guy respect while letting the younger guy find his way with little pressure.

Mike (Albany, NY): Jeffri, who has the better year statistically of these two former teammates, Travis Henry or Willis McGahee? Thanks.

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Travis Henry. He'll be in a better system with a better offensive line. I like the Ravens but they have some aging players up front.

Dave ( Springfield,MO): What are the odds the Packers will win their division this year?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Slim. They don't have enough talent as Brett Favre has publicly implied. What I don't get is what they're doing with all that money they have in reserve. It's not like you get extra credit at the end of the year for spending the least amount of cash on your roster.

Gary (Seattle): How do you pronounce your last name?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha:
Cha -- Dee -- Ha

Mike (Az): Jeff,Still havent gotten to get a cards question answered from you. I really think this is a turn around team and year, this years new orleans saints minus the feel good aspect. I truly see 9-7 to 10-6 depending on how everything breaks. Please drop some insight here for me

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Here we go. I've jumped on the Cards bandwagon before so I'm wary of doing it again. I like the Whisenhunt hire because he comes from strong franchise and he'll help Leinart grow. I think they'll improve but they're also in a division with other teams that are growing as well. The 49ers should be better and the Seahawks are still tough. I could see 8-8 but that's about it.

M (DC): Who are your top five players in the league? Mine are Brady, Manning, Tomlinson, Peppers and Merriman.

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Tomlinson, Manning, Brady, Merriman, Dwight Freeney

Steve (Jax): The Bears are your team to beat in the NFC. How far behind are the Saints and what aspect of their team do you think needs to show improvement?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: The Saints are right there. I'd like to see them get better at cornerback and they need more playmakers at linebackers. If they get that, they'll be at the top of the NFC.

Alexis (Miami, FL): Is T. Green a good fit for the Dolphins? How far can the fans realistically expect him to take us?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: He's the best option they have right now. I like Green. He's a leader and professional and he'll be the best qb they've had in South Florida since you-know-who called it a career. Though Culpepper is more talented, he clearly isn't that well liked by the current staff.

Champ Bailey: How am I NOT on anyones Top 5???

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha:
You're number six on my list.

Chad (Cascade,MD): Will the Ravens win thr north?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Yes. I give them the nod because the Steelers have a new coach and the Bengals have to find a way to play better defense.

SprungOnSports (Long Island): Would Larry Johnson hold out of training camp, and how much will not having him right away hurt KC?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: At this stage, I doubt it. Usually players will miss an entire offseason if they're going to hold out. Johnson has been very quiet and his agent hasn't told me anything to indicate this will be a problem in camp. Still, I'm curious about how the Chiefs will handle his contract.

Chad (Austin, TX): Do Tommie Harris recent comments help or hurt the Bears team?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: I don't think they hurt the team. Most players see the media as the enemy and this sounds like a story that got blown up during a slow news period. If Tommie Harris didn't like Rex Grossman, he wouldn't be dumb enough to say it publicly. I also talked to Urlacher the other day and he said nobody cared about it inside the locker room.

Rob (Baltimore): Jeff, I noticed that all your players are glory position players. What about the Hutchinson's and Saturday's and Seymour's of the world? Also, I think Ed Reed and Palamalu have an argument.

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha:
Damn, I only got to pick five names. And as much as I love those players you named, I doubt you'd take those guys over the ones on my list.

Brian (Folsom, CA): Whats up Jeffri, whats the word around the league regarding Alex Smith? At 23, he's the youngest starting QB and already has 2 seasons under his belt. Does he have what it takes to be an elite NFL QB?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: He really impressed with his development in year two. It helped that he had Norv Turner teaching him and that will be a big loss. But if he learned enough in that one season, he'll continue to grow. Will he be elite? I don't see him reaching the same status as a Manning or Brady. But he could be on the same level as a Matt Hasselbeck or Drew Brees. Having a running game helps as well.

nick (kentucky): is jason taylor the best defensive end in football

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: He's third in my book. I'll take Freeney, Peppers and then Taylor.

Nick (Boston): Jeff, my friend - a while back you wrote that the Patriots should have just kept Deion Branch - but they traded the pick they acquired from Seattle to San Fran for a 2008 1st rounder and a 2007 4th rounder, which was sent to Oakland for Randy Moss. So essentially, they traded Branch for A 1st round pick and Randy Moss. At this point, how could they regret their actions?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: It all sounds good on paper. Let's talk after the season. Remember, there already have been some reports that Moss isn't the same player he used to be.

Joe (AZ via Chicago): JEFFRI - LOVE YOUR WORK - What potential NON-QB injury would have the greatest adverse affect on that player's team? Personally, I think it would be LJ or Cedric Benson given the lack of quality depth behind them. What's your take?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: LJ, hands down. They're talking about starting Brodie Croyle at quarterback, for God's sake.

Not Chad (Austin): Hey Jeff, Is it a coincidence that you have answered 2 questions from guys named Chad and your name has Chad in it? I smell a rat. Or a T.O.

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: I usually don't see the names, just the questions. Although I did see somebody who called himself "Angry Mob" on this list.

Allan, Cleveland, OH: Will Brady Quinn be the Browns starting QB come week 1? If so does he last all year?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: I think he'll start at some point this year. It all depends on what the veterans do. If I'm Romeo Crennel, I'd like to give Quinn time to grow but he may not have that luxury.

travis (ct): do you think the jaguars offense will be more productive this year with everyone healthy?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: I've never liked their receivers. It's like they decided to acquire the biggest guys they could without really thinking about how productive this players could be in their wideout. I love their running game. But until they get their passing attack together, they'll be scoring 14 to 17 points a game.

Jonathan (Charleston Wv): Is Marc Bulger the best QB nobody ever talks about?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: He's definitely underrated. He has great touch and he's as tough as they come.

Angie (Manor, TX): Do you have a women to rub oil all over that beautiful dome of yours?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Now this is a question. And yes, I'm married.

Bob ( Jasper, KY): Does ESPN really think football fans care about punk players getting arrested? We would rather here football stories instead of Pacman Jones and Henry bull crap. Last year it was T.O. this year it is Pac Man. Do they have to drive everything into the ground?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: To be honest, Pacman is getting a little old for me as well. There really isn't much else to say about this guy. But this is also the business we're in. Once the games start back up, they'll be less focus on him and more on the field. Remember when Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was murdered right before the start of the playoffs? It's sad that we've forgotten all about that but that's how this business works. I'm taking my last question next.

jeff i (ny, ny): jeffri - miami (trent green) and NE (moss) are getting all the hype for their offseason additions, but don't you agree the most significant offseason offensive addition in the afc east (thomas jones to jets) is largely being overlooked?

sn2.gif
Jeffri Chadiha: Great point. Having a good running back will help their defense and Pennington play better. They're on the right track with Mangini. Thanks everybody. I'm out.
