Crazy how Jerry seems to realize the mistakes he's made (or pretends to) but still fails to address the cause. He's even gone so far as to acknowledge deserving to have been fired as a GM, only to stubbornly continue in the role. Isn't that the personification of incorrigible? Now, decades later, the Landry incident bothers him the most. (Perhaps because he thinks it tainted his personal image?) The ironies -- they do seem to abound at Valley Ranch.

Do y'all remember the movie "Parenthood" with Steve Martin? There was a son in it who kept borrowing money from the old man to put towards his next latest and greatest idea. There was always an apology but the next time was going "to be big." The father helped but knew, sadly, nothing would ever work. Jerry is that son. Always a new twist with some lame apologies but the new ideas are the same as the old and do nothing.

Jerry's like an addict that apologizes to his family for all the grief h'es caused and maybe the money he stole from family members to support his habit, but his family knows its just talk. The addict will continue along the same path in life.

The mirror on the wall just doesnt do much for accountability or change.

I was getting ready to say this. Like an addict he keeps talking, but there's no change. He has not hit rock bottom yet.

Unfortunately, I see rock bottom as not just this team totally tanking. He's already had that when the team failed on Wade. I'm talking the fans turn on Jerry as well and stop showing up to Jerry World. A 3 or 4 win season along with low attendance will get his attention and make him change. The few people who do come to the games are fans from other teams so Cowboys stadium looks like an away game as opposed to a home game. That might make him re-evaluate. He has already shown that he can handle losing if he is making money. He needs to be losing in both the win/loss column and his pocketbook.

Even then, it's hard to gauge if he will truly change. He brought in Parcells, then once Parcells left he turned back to his old ways.

It's a sad state of affairs in Dallas . . . .

Romo will be one of the aforementioned.

Jerra, don't blame yourself for Romo's lack of hardware. You did not thow those picks at the end of games. You did not bobble the ball on a kick. You did not decide you needed back surgery a week before the lastest big game.
Romo is a choker. We don't love him less. We just don't respect him.
You half done what you can but you are no GM and Romo is no leader. Accept it. We half.
