Ezekial Elliot has been great for the vast majority of the 2016 season, but Sunday marked the moment his MVP campaign kicked into full swing.

Elliott scored three touchdowns in the Cowboys' dramatic 35-30 win over the Steelers on Sunday, including two in the final two minutes of action. In addition to two rushing scores, he added in an 88-yard touchdown on a screen and finished the day with 209 yards from scrimmage. As many have pointed out, he's one of just three rookie backs to rush for 1,000 yards in his first nine professional games, joining Adrian Peterson and Eric Dickerson.

And yet, as great as Elliott undoubtedly is, I keep going back to a number from ESPN Stats & Information. Do you know how many times Elliott was even touched by a Steelers player on his three touchdowns?

Zero.

They are going to use the Cowboys' offensive against his vast talents much the same way Emmitt Smith's are because of his line.
Probably so--fair or not.

Two guesses with hindsight:
I think Dallas is at least 8-8 with Zeke last year. They lost a bunch of really close ones or in OT.
I think 2014 Dallas would have played in the Super Bowl w/ Zeke...more huge plays (and may be not the fumble vs GB but instead a TD:))
...all speculative, of course.

It's disgusting.

Jerry Rice? Oh best of all time.. Look at all the accolades.. (Even though he played with Bill Walsh and some of the best QB's ever)

Emmitt Smith? Oh Barry Sanders and any other great athlete is better than him and they would've proven it had they played behind that OL. Forget his accolades.

I actually agree without the O-line everything falls apart. To me that goes for Dak or Romo in there they are the Most Valuable Position(s)? I guess. Zeke would have been good on most any team but he probably only would have been this good in Dallas. Dak would have been good on other teams, but wouldn't have played like this.

To be clear I'm not trying to take any credit away from anyone else but the O-line deserves credit.

I will be perfectly fine with that if we can also bring home 3 Lombardi trophies like Emmitt and his OL did ;).
Well...when you put it like that, I wouldn't complain too much either. :)
